By Julie Kirby I was beginning to have withdrawal symptoms, needed my next fix.....This was a truly heart felt emotional installment, the 'kids' are really growing up, even more tan I think their parents did. I know its different now, but when the Parents were a similar age they were quite reckless.This installment definitely had all the couples actually thinking about their futures.Slade and Trinity are closer than ever, so happy for them, but Trinity needs a serious shaking with regards to her father, she is taking this too far.Poor Roland, I so like him, he has so much to understand, his feelings, heath's feelings even his families feelings, and he had more than enough opportunities to 'come out' I seriously think the 'family' might not understand it, but they will support him.Ward and Clementine seem to have hit a point in their relationship, which needs addressing and I so loved Ward's sister Willow, so frank, fearless, so British!! The Club situation was definitely a turning point in their relationship.Asher is trying so hard to win Silke back, and I thought she was a bit hard on him. Once he winds her back, he does need to make his authority come though, he seems to be a little bit of a wet blanket sometimes and I hope that changes. I suppose he is punishing himself for his past and he needs to let it go.Conrad. has my total backing, he really is turning into a smashing young man, and so on his side where Beatrice is concerned. She screwed up and as heart breaking as it was and will continue to be for Conrad, I do believe he made the right choice, in both his personal and professional life.Thomas and Rome, that's really sweet to see. I hope they get through the hard times unscathed, and I just love Theo, he may have been a rotter to Thomas when younger but he is really trying to right his wrongs.Heath is not my favorite person right now, he is quite insensitive to Ro's feelings, but I'm glad they sorted things out. They are good together. Roland is going to need Heath when the time comes to tell his family.Mike, OH MY WORD, I was in shock, yes he was in the wrong, yes Trinity was being far too hard on him, but he did not deserve to be hurt. Glad he came through it. SO loved Papa/Gramps Preston, I was shaking in my boots! He got the message across and Mike and Trinity finally buried the hatchet. That was a real life changing moment !But the whole group was right where they needed to be, by Mike's side.Loving how Reid was magnanimous when Mike was sick, and enjoying seeing how his relationship with Janice is going, they both deserve some happiness.Silke needs commending, ending her relationship with Pike, he is a lovely man, and i truly hope he finds his happy ever after.Silke and Asher makes interesting if not confusing reading, hope they make it through the hell they find themselves in.The wedding plans of Trinity and Slade are going to be fun reading.Cant wait.

I think we need to see more Skye & Cayson.....really hated to see them on back burner lately. It was a long fight to get them back together for them to only be mentioned occasionally.

Traughber As a peace officer, the many domestic disturbance calls I have answered involve couples whose relationships appear to be in crisis and a break up is almost a certainty. I firmly believe if these people could have employed the technique articulated in Dr. McCarthy's book, along with consulting a skilled, professional counsellor, many relationships could have been salvaged. The central theme is having a willingness to be introspective and honestly recognize and eliminate negative behavior. Being proactive in identifying positive efforts that can head off issues that have triggered conflict in the past is also key to any success, according to Dr. McCarthy. For this to work, both parties must want to keep their marriage. I recommend this book without reservation. If you are having a troubled relationship, read Dr. McCarthy's book. It may just provide a winning solution to preserving your marriage.(Relationships that involve a pattern of physical abuse should be handled by law enforcement).

It gave me awareness and then it helped me with the practical steps to implement permanent change. Not only did it help me in my marriage, but it helped me in my relationships with adult children.

By Harry De Oliveira I gained valuable new ideas and insights to use in my marriage, specially the practice of being more unselfish in the way we love each other in relationships… I also really liked learning how to better deal with conflict by being more respectful even when stressed out and appreciated the clear steps for de-escalating conflict.

I've come to expect and appreciate the humor she so effortlessly delivers in her writing, and I know she'll never let me down. Her books are romantic comedies on the page, and I've thoroughly enjoyed every single one."Lucy, my Lucy ... Oh, my God, I almost lost you."This book, this book, however, is different and special and so far from what I normally expect from her. But expectations aside, this was one of the best books I've read this year bar none. She has flawlessly executed a brilliant, gut wrenchingly beautiful, achingly poignant and heart stoppingly real love story in this novel. It was one of the single most moving works I have ever - EVER - read because it is rooted in real life and it so easily could be true for any number of the many brave men and women who selflessly sacrifice so much of themselves in the name of our security and freedom."I'm sorry, I love you, please forgive me. ... I don't mean it. I don't mean any of it..."At 3% in to this book, I was already sobbing with a lump in my throat. It took a good, long while for it to get easier. It takes you on a journey of two people deeply in love with each other. The H has PTSD and takes his wife on a journey. They both love, suffer (really, really!) and ultimately become hopeful that they can come back to love again.So, why the three stars? While I became deeply entrenched in the book, I found myself skipping all the cliched scenes. You know - the ones where they come together desperately, vow their never ending love, treasure and adore each other. Sorry, while the feelings might be there for most people, I don't see the "mushy" stuff happening in real life. I know this is fiction but don't we all need to identify or relate with it somehow? Further, overcoming PTSD is hard, gritty. It also dragged towards the end. The tone for the ending was set and then another scene was in the mix. Why? Resolution was at hand! That being said, the secondary characters are funny and charming.Would I read it again? No. Would I recommend it to others? Mmmm, maybe. Did I feel it was worth my money? Yes. Overall it was a good read.

By Jen Literary Gossip I have so much love for this book... For the resilience of the characters, for the humor that was found even during the turmoil, for the characters who both broke my heart and put it back together again. Fisher’s Light is one of those books that will stick with you because the pain was so deep and the love was so grand.I knew going in, based on the synopsis, there was a good chance this book was going to hurt my heart. I guess I didn't realize how much Fisher’s pain and emotional torture was going to affect me. Tara Sivec did a brilliant job of giving a glimpse of Fishers internal struggle. We got to see, firsthand, how much commotion and chaos he was experiencing inside his own head. There were moments my gut and heart hurt so badly for him. Everything he went through and experienced on his return home felt so real... So disturbingly real... I can't help but feel heartbreak, not only for he and Lucy, but for any family that could be going through these things. Fisher was often so lost in his own head, but even during his darkest moments, his thoughts were of Lucy.. Protecting Lucy, loving Lucy, doing what he thought was right for Lucy.Speaking of Lucy... My favorite thing about her is how much she grew up during this crazy time. In the beginning she comes across as innocent and sweet but by the time Fisher returns for the last time, she's a grown woman. Her desires have morphed into that of a woman. Her love and dedication has only gotten stronger, but she's not the same girl he left. Lucy knows she’s changed, she knows she wants things that she never would have asked for before… Then Fisher returns and not only is she trying to be this new, grown woman, she’s also trying to hold together her marriage... To hold together Fisher… It’s a lot to take, and everyone has their breaking point.Lucy and Fisher have been together since high school... So young and innocent, going through such grown up things. The love they have for each other was powerful, but war does things to not only the soldier but also the family left behind. People change, they grow... So Fisher comes home emotionally damaged to a woman who is no longer a girl... And things clash... They break and twist and nothing is fitting anymore… What are you left to do after that? My heart just broke for them.The journey back to each other was absolutely my favorite piece of this book. It was rough, and ugly, and emotional. Fisher had to freaking WORK for it. And Lucy, despite being so strong on the outside...well, she was a lot broken on the inside too. To watch them attempt to heal together and figure out if there was anything left… well, that was truly beautiful. Fisher's Light is a story of second chances. And if anyone deserves it, it's Fisher and Lucy. 5 stars

A must read for guys who have trouble approaching girls, like me before reading this book. Don't get me wrong, this is not a magic method that will make every girl like you, but it does teach you basic social skills (needed to interact with women) that are not obvious to some of us.Totally recommend.PS. last night at the club was like nothing I ever experienced before, I never knew that was a place I could have so much fun at.

Inspiring collection of personal triumphs By Kitty Smith I love stories of people who've gone from nothing to something and this collection puts a smile on my face every time I read one. The stories really motivate you to stay positive and work hard to get what you want out of life. The names are familiar, but their stories weren't, at least not to me. I knew about Arnold Schwarzenegger's background, but the stories about others, like Jerry Seinfield and Ellen DeGeneres, were new to me. Seeing Seinfield now, I just can't imagine him choking on stage like he did with his first stand up attempt. I would have probably quit but he never gave up. That's the theme of all the stories really. Never give up.It's so easy to see people on TV or in movies and think oh well they've got it easy, they're rich and successful. But when I read their stories I realize they started out the same as I did, sometimes a lot worse off even. It's such an inspiring collection of personal triumphs, really enjoyed reading it!

By Greg Hawod Knowing the stories of great people from all walks of life is an effective way for one to learn different lessons in life. This is my main conclusion after reading this book. I cannot pinpoint what are the most important lessons I learned since it seemed that each story is unique from each other.This book, as the subtitle states, is a collection of stories of different people. When this was offered to me by Jason, the author, I asked myself what are the possible lessons I can get from the people featured here. I had a bias towards famous business persons, statesmen; those people who are usually featured in biography books or who have their memoir. So when I read that there are people from entertainment industry, I was intrigued. I asked what could I get from them aside from seeing them show their skills in movies. It turns that I learned a lot and was inspired by their stories. Now I will not look at the likes of Vin Diesel, Charlize Theron, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ellen DeGeneres the same way I look at them in entertainment roles. Now I see them as people who have faced their problems with tenacity and relentless pursuit to attain their goals despite the many setbacks they encounter. All of these because of this book.Moreover, this book, short as it may seemed based on the number of its pages, is full of inspiration. It is like a healthy salad full of nutrients in every bite you take.I recommend that you read this book. It is short enough to finish but long enough to keep you inspired.

About the Author Heather McCollum is an award winning, historical and contemporary YA paranormal romance writer. She earned her B.A. in Biology from the University of Maine, much to her English professor's dismay. She is a member of Romance Writers of America and was a 2009 Golden Heart Finalist. Ms. McCollum has four full length historical, paranormal romances released in both electronic and digital formats. She also has one short novella released in electronic format.

Whelan Heather has a way with words that makes you want to have her stories never end. A cruel hero with a past that excuses all his behaviour and a tough heroine who's a slave to her hormones. As a woman I resent the females weakness honestly. I think it's demeaning.Heather's previous book was flawless. So different and engaging. The relationship actually grew with no big misunderstanding or cruelties on either side. It was a real relationship from the ground up with problems to be overcome. Most so called love stories involve a lot of fighting and sex scenes.This storey is the same as all the others. Its romance takes the form of the hero baiting her at every opportunity because he doesn't like the facts she's sad he's kidnapped her. She's a thrall and doesn't matter to him as a person and it shows. Are we supposed to feel flattered at his treatment because it supposedly hints deeper feelings of not letting her go? Unlikely. Its just screams abuse to me. And offcourse this romance would not be complete without our stubborn heroine being controlled completely by her attraction to the hero. Its pathetic not romantic.I read it and I will continue one with the series in the hope they are as good as the first and don't continue along this vein.

Women are afraid of things that tell men to take charge and be in control of women but then complain that they can't find any real men! This book will help men become aware of why they make certain decisions, how to avoid making the ones that have detrimental consequences, and become the men women need.

28 of 33 people found the following review helpful. Not Worth The Asking Price By Book Nerd I couldn't really get into this book because Max's POV was too much of that like a woman. He read just like Kensington did with his inner dialogue/thoughts and him being this bad arse, bad boy isn't believable. For him to be this ladies man who doesn't believe in relationships, to turn into this sappy I just want her even though I don't know her and have only seen her (at this point 3 times) *insert eye roll* kind of guy is just too much too soon. On top of that Max was like a douche and too forward. First time he meets her he touches Kens and she gets rigid then seconds later he does it again and she gets stiff. Her whole body tenses and what does he do at her being uncomfortable? Puts his funky lips on her neck! Like Dude! You know she’s uncomfortable AND you see the fear and you tell her how you want to screw her? Not that, that was bad enough there wasn't a foundation laid good enough for us to even believe in Max and Kensington's insta-love. Their “love” and connection …….it's too fiction for fiction in a book. It was hard to read this book and believe that Max is the person in the synopsis and the person the author wants us to believe he is. He will think one thing but his actions shows something totally diff in the same sentence. There wasn’t anything endearing about Max or swoon worthy. There also wasn't a connection from me the reader to the main characters either. I was more engrossed with Brighton and Nicole’s love and story line because theirs was more believable and had more of a built upon love foundation. Then Kens’ whole reasoning for not wanting love or a relationship……I mean it IS possible but how it all came full circle wasn’t properly executed to me. Overall this book didn't do it for me it was lacking to say the least and I wouldn't recommend that you buy it.

All he seeks are one night stands, having vowed to neverallow a woman to steal his heart.When he plays wingman to his best friend and roommate Brighton, he meets Kensington and sherocks his world. He's got to have her! Kensington is turned off by his cocky attitudeand proceeds to ignore him.When Kensington's best friend and roommate, Nicole, pleads with her to come with for a dinnerat Brighton and Maxton's house, she reluctantly agrees.Maxton soon discovers Kensington isn't a "one night stand" kind of girl,and he's intrigued and wantsto get to know her. She slowly chips away the wall around his heart, and he's determined to makeher his girl, something he's never had or wanted. Will she trust him enough to give him her heart?This is a sweet love story. Ms. Ryan made me feel the pain that Kensi went through, and had mepulling for Maxton to win Kensi's love.

Maxton, wow! He starts off cocky and slowly he transforms into what every girl dreams of. Kensington, I totally felt for her, felt her pain. Her past is heartbreaking. All of the secondary characters are amazing as well. (So much so, that I am hoping for a book about Bright and Nicole) This is one of those books that you just can't put down and you have to finish before you can stop reading. The feelings are written beautifully and you get so wrapped up in the story it's like you are part of them. Great job on this one! I will definitely be reading more from this author! I recommend you read this one and add to your five star list!

David Donaldson has a deep understanding of what this system is all about and how it can be used in a person's life. The section on how to plan projects was especially useful. Highly recommended for anyone who wants an introduction to this system or a quick summary to put things in context.

His book How Jesus Became Christian was longlisted for the Cundill International Prize in History and won the Joseph and Faye Tanenbaum Award. Wilson lives in Toronto.

I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior but it was interesting to read about Him from a historical perspective. I love Simcha Jocobovici and watched him on the Naked Archaeologist so I was anxious to read this book to see the artifacts that have been found and the document they have found to substantiate His relationship with Mary the Magdalene. Great study book.
