She has a sweet tooth but resist the urge to stop at the bakery. Her thoughts wonder to the newest resident Coldwater Springs. And what a distraction he could be literally, it happened so quick so fast she was headed to the boutique ,her mind elsewhere she nearly takes a tumble when strong hands brace her and helping her to her feet. With the mishap averted, she can't help but think how beautiful her rescuer is. A zing of awareness thrums through her body at the contact(the man is beyond sexy). Will her insecurities get in the way? Mikhail Stepanov, young,handsome and is a chiseled Russian god. New to Coldwater Springs he is a horse trainer. He is so attracted to the woman he just rescued. Her soft curvy body is warm and inviting and her CURVES beckoning him. She has curves in all the right places. And he wants more of her delectable body- does she feel the same way? Can a naughty horse bring two people together? Some hanky panty and some training are in order. Jenn Roseton has us revisiting Coldwater Springs, it's coming home. Gave the book 5 stars for the writing and originality. A Russian in Coldwater, what is next? Was given an ARC for an honest review,however purchased the book because I'm never disappointed with Jenn Roseton! Always a pleasure.

I love her books the simplicity of each book is refreshing, especially after reading books where you want to bitch slap the main character. The only draw back is that the stories are short.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Love me some Russian! By Snowbunny1977 Mikhail was really exceptionally sweet. He's a great guy...ohhh and he's Russian with a sexy accent! I love this freakin series all of em. I've read them a lot. LOL. Amber's kinda shy and a little insecure about her looks. She likes him instantly but doesn't want to look more into it than there is. She's hopeful but doubts herself. After dating awhile and only having hot kisses Amber has doubts that he's into her as much as shes into him. Mikhail wants to go slow and not rush her but she's been ready for awhile to take the next level with him. :) Which he tells her when she gets hurt in the woods and calls her darling in Russian...*sighs*. So sweet and romantic. Great story with a fabulous ending! These are kinda short but great reads. I will say compared to the others of Cold Water Springs books this Mikhair was written a bit too perfect. LOL. I know....but still he's gotta have some flaws right?

About the Author Who is Curt Thomas? In a few words, Curt was often times referred as the least likely to succeed. Most times Curt was misunderstood and is judged. Curt would allow those negative words to influence his thoughts and path to success. Countless times Curt thought of quitting his desires to succeed and just give up on life. However, it was during Curt’s lowest moments in life that he began to develop strategies to bounce back from failure to success. Curt went from failing the 9th grade to graduating on time with the rest of his classmates at Manning High School. Curt thought about quitting Basic Training for the Air Force because his father nearly lost his life due to a car accident but he did not quit. Curt went on to graduating Basic Training and served honorably 4 years while obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education from Carolina Bible Institute (magna cum laude) and pledged Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Curt failed the police academy twice while working at a local police department. However, Curt’s dream was to be a South Carolina State Trooper. Even with the two prior failed attempts on the local level, he applied on the state level and graduated the toughest law enforcement training that the South Carolina has to offer. However, during this tough time in his life, Curt redeveloped powerful leadership skills and personal growth development strategies that cause him to bounce back in all areas. Curt went from almost being separated from the Air Force to being awarded the Airmen of the Year for the entire base. Curt’s strategy helped him be selected as their lead character of two commercials and travel the country with a university football team and escort professional golfers in the PGA. Curt has recently resigned from the South Carolina Highway Patrol as a State Trooper to pursue being a full time speaker. Today, Curt serves the country as a Reservist in the United States Air Force. Curt is an entrepreneur and is the owner of Curt Thomas Unlimited, LLC. Curt is an author and also a graduate of Buckley’s School of Public Speaking. Sicily was a cultural melting pot in the thirteenth century and Frederick ended up speaking several languages. He protected Jews and Muslims in his realms and prosecuted Christian heretics throughout his thirty-year reign. Frederick was married three times, and had four legitimate and eleven illegitimate children. He was a polymath with interests ranging from sculpture, architecture, and poetry to mathematics and science in many forms, earning him admiration from his contemporaries who called him Stupor mundi, “Wonder of the World.” His lifelong interest in hunting with birds of prey led to the writing of the classic work De Arte Venandi cum Avibus (The Art of Falconry), which is still in print. Really basic By Amazon Customer I don't want to be too hard on Richard Bressler, it says right on the book jacket that he is a financial professional and you can tell that this was a labor of love, but I have to be perfectly honest and say that you probably shouldn't waste your money on this book. It is based mainly on secondary sources (i.e. books written by other historians, not documents from Frederick II's time), so it basically feels like a big book report about every book he's read about Frederick II. I started this book knowing only as much about Frederick II and his time as I had heard in general Western Civ classes, and finished it knowing only a tiny bit more.

I heartily recommend a used copy of Masson's book--Great value By diogenes Pales in comparison to Georgina Masson's biography of FriedrichThe advertising review stated that the author had spent his workinglife as an accountant which possibly explains the lack of styleHis review of the extensive literary sources was limited andsuperficial. Why did he write it??I bought it because of the relatively low price.I heartily recommend a used copy of Masson's book--Great value!!!!

Review I absolutely LOVED this story. There is a kind of preface before the dedication where the author explains where she got the story. I had to go back and reread it once I had finished "Unlike Any Other". I think she did a fantastic job meeting her goal.This is an incredible love story (stories)...a beautiful depth and complexity that you don't run into frequently. I am so pleased to see this is the first book of a planned 5 book series...the only disappointing part is going to be the wait for the next installment.Planned sequels will highlight the other characters we spent time with.

It crept up on me: this story, this family, these characters wormed their way into my heart.At first, I wasn't sure this book was for me, the book starts in AJ's (Ainsley Janine) POV and I could feel how numb, how devoid of emotion she was. It bothered me because I didn't know if I'd be able to connect to her. But this all changed at about the 7-8% mark when she meets with Gabriel (Gabe), her father, and the story shifts to a dual POV: AJs and Gabe's. Again, this threw me for a loop because how was a daughter/father story going to work? This was supposed to be a romance, right?Ms. Burgoa does a brilliant job in creating such an original story in bringing it to like in a very unique yet poignant way. This was an emotional read yet so relatable even though the story revolves around a celebrity’s life because it’s about family and the relationships and dynamics which we can all relate to. The plot hangs on the concept of time, that weaves through our lives, our memories, emotions and even the mundane. Yet, it’s not chronological, Ms. Burgoa takes us from past to present and back in a storytelling fashion that’s captivating. Time weaves the threads of these lives and it gets messy but it also makes sense. I ended up loving AJ and fully understanding why she was the way she was and I just adore the entire Colhurst-Decker family. There are such complex, beautiful and flawed characters and even some characters that I have a hard time liking although I feel for them. But all of it was just moving.I highly recommend this gem! There's love, laughter, loyalty, lies, secrets, friendship, heartbreak, family and also hope. I'm so glad there is more of the Colthurst-Decker clan and I'm so looking forward to Mason's story, Unsurprisingly Complicated. Thank goodness, I don't have to wait too long.

By Jen Valencia Unlike Any Other is the first book in the Unexpected series by Claudia Burgoa and one that I enjoyed quite a great deal. I do wish that I hadn't seen this book categorized as a specific kind of romance on Amazon because then the reveal would have unfolded as a surprising twist rather than as an already known fact. The entire book isn't just about the romance but it is the focal point and one that sets the foundation for everything else that happens to the characters, especially the lead female, Ainsley Janine "AJ" Colthurst.At its very core, this was a story about a family struggling to regain its roots and its balance, especially after daughter AJ, the only girl among the triplets, makes certain accusations regarding how they were raised toward her parents and then leaves and doesn't return for three years. Her sudden return is brought about by a news item regarding her father and that he is no longer a bachelor and is about to be a father; ironic since he already has three grown children and has been married for quite some time now.I've always felt that the first book in a series is successful if it does two things: 1. Tells a great story and has memorable characters, and 2. Piques the reader's interest regarding the other characters in order to want to read future installments. Unlike Any Other most certainly did both and now I'm itching to find out what happens to the rest of the characters. This was such an unexpectedly (pun not intended!) addictive read and had I not known the twist going in, I would have given it a perfect five-star rating. It gets 4.5 stars! ♥

28 of 31 people found the following review helpful. Juvenile Protagonists and No Resolution. By Ann de Vries The premise sounded great, but the story did not engage me. The protagonists were likeable enough, but they seemed very immature for their ages. I found it difficult to believe that these were young adults on the verge of starting their own families; they seemed more like high school teenagers. For example, early in the book, four of the protagonists went to the pickup for beers and to drive around, which seemed irresponsible. As well, the giggling and over-the-top dialogue seemed more suitable to teenagers, and I could not relate to the characters. That surprised me because I do read young adult fantasy and science fiction with young protagonists, and have no problems relating to the characters.Another serious problem for me was the lack of resolution. The story concluded with two heros and two heroines entertaining into relationships but with no idea where they would go from there. They just hooked up but they live in different states, so what happens? We aren't given any insight into the resolution. I hate cliffhangers, and calling a book part one of a series does not mean the author gets a free pass on providing an ending.I found the different points of view and flashbacks distracting. Some readers like them, but I didn't like the switching back and forth.On the plus side, the writing mechanics were good with only a few minor typos.This book might appeal to a younger audience, but I don't believe it is one with universal appeal. It is not one I would recommend, but I can see that others would like it. Thus far, mine is the only negative review, so I am obviously in the minority on this one. My opinion is just that, my personal opinion about the book. I deleted it, which normally would be a one star book, but I raised it to a two because of the writing mechanics.

The characters were fun and fresh. The events happening were real and secondary characters were witty.Scarlett, also known as Red, was just jilted at the church the day of her wedding when she walks by the bathroom and hears some pretty heavy breathing.Unfortunately, she recognized the male voice. Jake, her now ex-fiancé and one of her bridesmaids.Two weeks in bed mourning was all her best friend, Mary Lou, was giving her. With some gentle shoving, her back against the wall and feet against Red, Mary Lou was able to get Red out of bed and into a much-needed shower. She had plans for getting Red past this disaster and a party by the lake was one of those plans. Trying to avoid Jake was another. However, since most of their school friends would be there as well it was inevitable that they'd see him. In addition, when that happened...so did Mason.Mason Pierce has been in love with Scarlett "Red" Summers for too long. He missed his opportunity when Jake got to her first back in high school. However, after hearing about the non-existent wedding his only hope was that Red would be at the party. In addition, hearing Jake bothering her, he did what he thought would help her out. Wrapping his arm around her and his lips on hers, finally, and in front of Jake.That's all it took for Mason to finally know what it's like to have Red. Now he had to figure out how to keep her. His biggest problem was that he didn't live in the area any more. He's only back from school for the summer helping his dad on the farm. Red's problem was trying to get through her unfortunate wedding fiasco and hopefully out from under her parent’s roof.This was such a fun story. It was short and sweet and kept me entertained. Lots of laugh out loud humor. I love how it flipped back and forth between Red and Mason and also how it went back in time and told the events of how they got where they are at this point in their lives. Secondary characters were fantastic! I loved Mary Lou and Monroe. They're funny, lovable and always willing to step it up for their friend. Hope to read more about them in upcoming books. By kristine O Just finished my weekend trip to hot and sunny Oklahoma in Big girl Panties by S.J Sawyer and loved it! This is a five star yippy ya hoo novella for me! I didn't want it to end and leave my little escape. Leaving this story with giggles and smiles, definitelymaking my early day a great one so far! I'm very excited and can't wait to read more with Red, Mason and the crew!Scarlett Summers, nicked named Red starts off her story a little sad! I felt sorry for her, one of those Oh No, Covering my face moments! But soon after it happens, I conclude that I'm happy it happened when it did and Red will definitely get through this. Even as little as she is, Red has a tough streak in her and when paired with her awesome best friend Mary Lou no one can stand in her way! I loved these two! So many funny moments between them and what a true and strong friendship they have.Mason Pierce aka hottie in cowboy boots, is back for the summer to help family. Being a strong and hard working rancher and also a very well baseball player, this boy brought out all my swoony parts. Wait to you meet him!Red and Mason have some sort of history together, both hiding some secret feelings from eachother. With events that happen to Red and Mason's visit back home for the summer, this should make for a very interesting few months. And I'm very antsy to find out! The way S.J tells the story with back and forth flashbacks, and povs, I loved it so much! I could feel my permanate smile! I was hooked from the begining. This is my first book I've read from S.J Sawyer and I like to say bravo! I will definitely be reading more of hers, with saying that I highly recommend this story! Hopefully the next part is in my very greedy hands soon!

That man was Rhys ap Thomas, a Welsh lord, master of Carew Castle in Pembrokeshire. For his service that day he was knighted on the field of battle by Henry Tudor.Rhys ap Thomas’s life had been inextricably linked with both Richard and Henry; all three young men grew under the shadow of the Wars of the Roses, suffering losses and betrayals. About the Author Dr Susan Fern has lectured in history at Lampeter University and is currently research affiliate at the Open University. Her other books include The Jews Against Rome: War in Palestine AD 66-73 and The Emperors' Needles: Obelisks in Rome. She is a member of the Richard III Society and took part in the 1984 archaeological dig on the friary in Carmarthen where Rhys ap Thomas is buried. She lives in Winslow in Buckinghamshire.

German artist John Heartfield (1891-1968) is widely considered one of the inventors of photomontage. I felt compelled to read more about his early life, and that added to my appreciation of his artistic talent & output.

"If I could slap Evie" By bbush Cal is a cyper savant, who at age fourteen was going down the wrong path of destruction, in comes a father like knight and basically liberates him and raises him as his son, and to be one of the good guys. Fast-forward ten years and Cal is working for this elite military group and he is tracking a terrorist and a hacker. He later finds out that the hacker is in fact the daughter of the man that saved his life ten years ago. He tries to help her and tell her not to waste her life using her talents for bad stuff but use it for good or he would turn her in. She in her crazy mind, thinks that he has broken her heart and promises to hate him for trying to save her life. (If that don't sound crazy to you, I don't know what would)Another 10 years go by and they are living separate lifestyles, she doing a boring job and he was married then widowed and she happens to witness a murder on her way home from work and is in need of protection, her father calls in Cal to protect her and apparently they have this chemistry that I personally didn't see coming from anywhere. He has been in love with her forever and she is heart broken from 10 years ago when he tried to save her from making a bad choice..I am just going to leave it at that because, the whole plot was stupid and too short, no build-up chemistry what so ever and a self-absorbed heroine.I Love all the other Mackenzie books except this one

It had so much potential but, the story ended so abruptly it felt like she left half of it out. I was like other reviewers and went back to see if I was missing pages. Is it a cliff hanger, did she just lose interest in telling the story, what? Hopefully we will get a full, complete story when Shane's book comes out.

I was looking forward to reading this book and couldn't wait for it to be released. However, I was EXTREMELY disappointed that it was too short and there was no beginning, middle or end. I went back to make sure I didn't accidentally skip anything because it read like a novella more so than a novel.Very disappointed.
