We have followed Reid and Mallory through The Women of Power series. We never knew what the love hate relationship was all about until they got their own book. We also find out what happened to her relationship with her own father and mother. But more importantly the love that Reid's family had for Mallory and how deep the love for the Simpson family was for Mallory. How much Mallory gave up and sacrificed for her love of all the Simpsons.We can't forget our Senior Cougar, Shirley who has you laughing throughout the book. This definitely a must read book.

Mallory Westin and Reid Simpson fell in love at a young age, but Mallory broke it off and left him, this book will give you the reason why and take you on a wild ride of twist and turns, bring on some international troubles and some very scary moments and your will be holding your breath and in the end cheering the outcome. Oh and if that isn't enough you get a little bit of fun with Shirley, gotta love that Shirley and a Happily Ever After

Detailed History of the USS Cassin Young and Crew By Philbert It's great that the author took the time to write such a detailed book regarding thelife of the USS Cassin Young and many of the crew that sailed with her. This bookgoes into great detail in regards to the life of the USS Cassin Young, from the dayof the ceremonial launch to where it proudly sits now at the Charlestown Navy Yardin Boston, MA.There are several editing issues throughout the book however, if you look beyondthose, this is a great read. Much of the book is taken from the memories of the actualcrew not to mention, excerpts from a crew members illegal diary. The details theauthor was able to capture in regards to the Kamikaze attacks and the battles that theUSS Cassin Young was involved in made you feel as if you were there. Written area few graphic details of what happened to those crew members who had lost theirlife or were seriously injured aboard the ship.A bonus is the actual photographs that are found in the book taken while the shipwas on active duty. From the archives, crew members and author, there are severalphotos of the ship and crew. Also, a unique addition is how the author, at the end ofthe book, followed up giving biographies of many of the original crew members of theUSS Cassin Young.Again, looking beyond several editing issues, this book does not disappoint. The shipis open to the public today thanks for the efforts of the Navy, the National Park Serviceand Volunteers. If you have visited the ship in Boston, this is a great follow-up read. Ifyou have read the book, I'd encourage you to visit the ship to see first hand how thelife board was for the crew members. As those mentioned earlier who are responsiblefor having the ship open for public viewing today, the author also keeps the history alivein this long awaited book of this highly decorated ship and crew and the sacrifices theymade for the very freedoms we enjoy today.

By Noteworthy I bought this book for my 93 year old father-in-law who was a cook on the Cassin Young on its maiden voyage during WWII. We enjoyed reading it together. He remembered many of the events that are related in the book.

It is suspenseful, dramatic, and hot, everything I love in a great book and series. Sam, (aka Mallory, Emily, Jennifer) has been relocated again… and this time, it’s after she finally found something worth fighting for…. Brian.Sam is a strong, independent character, for everything that is thrown her direction she takes it in stride. The one person she counts on is herself (that’s my opinion of her). If I had to live the life she had to, I don’t think I would have become half the woman she was in this story. Her life is dramatic and suspenseful and it had me on the edge of my seat and cheering her on.Book two picks up 4 years after her and Dev were separated and he never came to find her, so Sam does what she does best, she starts over. But when she gets the news that everything is over and she can be herself again, she sets out on an “adventure” to find him with her own secrets to “air out”.Dev (aka Brian) is the one, the one to change Sam’s life around, but when things fall apart he has to leave Sam, and I about damn near cried. Dev is everything a woman could want in a man, dominate, loving, and devoted, but there is a problem, he also lives his life full of secrets.There are some major twists and turns in this book that will have you asking yourself if love can really conquer all. So, if you have read book one and are ready for more, Becoming Somebody was a great continuation of Sam’s story!*** Warning…. I've read quite a few of her books and I'm always glued to the page. Becoming Somebody was a fast-paced read that kept me flipping the pages long into the night. I love the author's writing style and the way she pulls you into the story. I also think she did a fantastic job with Mara's character and the array of emotions a four-year-old can experience in a short period of time. All and all, i highly recommend this book.

Metcalf I've have been waiting for what seems like forever for this book and now that I finished it I'm on pins and needles again!! I think D'Agostino must have been a evil person In a past life who gets their jollys now by writing awesome books that hook you in and then makes you wait for the next one!!Sam and Dev are definitely soulmates, they belong together. I can't wait to see what Jase and Tess have in store for us and for Dev to come HOME!!!!

Prentiss, Company B, 19th Michigan Infantry, served from the organization of the regiment in August 1862, through muster-out in July 1865. This collection consists of letters written by Private Prentiss during the war from August 1862 to July 1865, predominantly to his wife but also other members of his family. Private Prentiss was an intelligent, highly observant, detail oriented man. His letters, interspersed with a strong sense of humor and highly skilled artistic abilities, provide one of the finest and most comprehensive first-person accounts of a Civil War soldier that I have ever seen (and I have seriously studied the American Civil War since 1971). Little escaped Charlie’s attention, be it camp life, rations, uniforms, or military duties. The 19th Michigan Infantry primarily served on duty along the lines of communication of the Army of the Cumberland from 1862 to 1863. Private Prentiss was captured at Brentwood, Tennessee during a Confederate cavalry raid in March 1863, and was briefly a Confederate prisoner, passing through the famous Libby Prison in Richmond on the way to being exchanged. Of perhaps greatest import, he served as a Draftsman and eventually Assistant Engineer with the Topographical Engineers of the Department of the Cumberland through the entirety of 1864 until his discharge. This is the only extant record of a draftsman serving with the U.S. Topographical Engineers during the Civil War that I know to survive, and is one of only a handful of accounts from the Topographical Engineers. Given the exceptional and comprehensive detail that Private Prentiss provided, his letters provide for the first time a comprehensive primary source documentation of the services of that branch of service, given the exigencies of supporting an active campaign that extended from Middle Tennessee, across North Alabama, and throughout North Georgia. Prentiss accompanied the headquarters of Generals Thomas and Sherman during the Battle of Jonesboro in late August and early September 1864, and provided valuable engineering and cartographic support that facilitated Sherman’s successful maneuver against Atlanta. This is the only known primary source collection from a draftsman serving with the Topographical Engineers, and is one of a very few primary source accounts from any members of the Topographical Engineer. It is an extremely important soldier’s primary source from the Civil War, and the author has done a considerable service to historians, Civil War re-enactors and Civil War buffs by making it available.

I found the information very helpful and straight forward. It all really made sense and I could relate it to every day living. I would recommend this book to anyone who needs a few pointers to make their lives make more sense. I think with busy lives these days we tend to get caught up and don't sit back and look at what we can do to make things easier to deal with. I picked up just a few stratagies I could use in my life to make life more controlled and less stressful.

Forty-two attractive pages of easy to follow suggestions – delivered with a smile and a warm hug – will guide you through the most daunting of your organizing and clean-up tasks.Rhonda McNett, founder of Sensible Organizing Strategies, knows whereof she speaks. For the past ten years, to excellent reviews, she has been teaching individuals and businesses the best ways to take charge of their depressingly unwieldy accumulations. I can tell you from experience that she is an expert in this regard.You will find, in chapters such as “Dumpster or Donation – Discerning the Difference,” experienced advice.
