I was hooked from the start and didn't want to put it down.Natalie "Lee" is pregnant and waiting for her husband, Aaron to be home from a mission. She has to talk her little peanut to keep her calm in there until he is back to them. But when Natalie hears the knock at the door she has a bad feeling, she is the wife of a former SEAL and two of Aaron's best friends, her world is turned upside down and she doesn't want to believe it. She and Aaron have been together since they were 16 and now she is a pregnant widow at 27. How can she move on when all she has ever known was this life.After a couple of months have past and many visits from friends Natalie is trying to keep it together. She has to for her daughter Ararabelle, she doesn't have a father but she has a mother that will put on her pretend smile and pretend to move on. But when a knock comes to the door and its Liam, her husband's best friend, she can't fake it anymore...he sees right through her. Liam is there to help her in any way he can and they both have no idea how much he will.Liam does everything he can for Lee and Arabelle even when Lee says she doesn't need it. That's how I'm feeling right now. Corinne Michaels has done it again. Once again, she has given me a beautiful story, made me fall in love and then ripped it right out from under me..........Consolation is well written and captivating. I devoured this book. I was completely unable to put it down. From the moment I read the first page, I knew. I knew this book was going to destroy me. The prologue just brought tears to my eyes. It was as if Natalie's grief was my own. It was so palpable. Natalie has just had her entire world as she knows it, turned upside down. Once the shock wears off, she's just trying to move on. Trying to be strong for her daughter. Handling the grief the best that she knows how. What she didn't plan on was Liam. Liam was her saving grace. He wouldn't let her pretend that everything was ok. He just let her be. He was her shoulder to lean on and a friend to her when she needed it the most. Liam changed everything...Consolation took me on the most incredible journey. This book will make you laugh, cry, smile, swoon and fall in love again. It will frustrate you and anger you. You may even be tempted to throw your kindle at times. I know I was. I fell in love with Natalie and Liam's story. So lost in the beauty of their relationship. Consumed with the need to see this story have a happy ending. And then BOOM! Blindsided! I was in no way prepared for what was to come. That ending....I'm gonna warn you, it's brutal. It's a fantastic cliffhanger that will leave you shocked, angry, and surprised. I actually struggled with the idea of writing this review. I was/am filled with angst writing a review for Corinne Michaels' latest book. The reason? Corinne's writing, characters, and storyline are so well written and captivating, that I am afraid I can't write a review that will do it justice, yes, the book is that good!The story consumed me as I read it. It entranced me with pages filled with beautifully written words expressing loss, heartbreak, sorrow, betrayal, friendship, love and forgiveness. It also steamed up the screen with loving and hot sex scenes. The author knows how to craft it all with her talent. It became a fiber of my being, part of my blood, broke my heart, filled my heart with love, lifted my spirits and broke my heart again in the end. This journey is a tribute to the author's incredible writing style and ability!I love when I read a book comes and it grabs me with such force that it makes me feel, that the scenes make the story palpable. When the author has written words capable of making me happy, sad and heartbroken. When it makes me cry, laugh, and smile. When I love and hate the characters and feel for them, about them and hope for them. When I feel like I am there with them, that I know them, then I know the author has successfully woven words that have created a magical web that transports me into book lover's heaven. I found myself so thoroughly transported, into the world that is Natalie and Liam, that the line between reality and fiction became blurred through tears, smiles and swooning (yes, Liam is swoon worthy!)I want to review the story, without giving spoilers, since I don't want to ruin anyone else's magical journey through this exceptional book. Does she have any love left in her heart and soul for a man or does it all belong to a ghost? She fears what falling for another SEAL could mean and if she could survive him also not making it home. Does she have a choice or does her heart know what her brain won't admit?Liam is her late husband's best friend. Liam is also mourning Aaron's death and wants to be there to help Natalie navigate life without Aaron. They don't plan on caring about each other. Marie-Claire's tour of Cambridge, Key West, Cape Cod, and other literary dens was given with such a simple and candid freshness. If you read the first book in this series, you would understand the way in which the author was taking this book. If you did not read the first book, I would suggest reading it first because there is a lot of background information that is needed to understand fully what is happening in this book. The tension and sexual heat between KK and Josh are palpable. Throwing in the death of her father, the introduction to an unknown family member, a new love interest and Jake Crawford makes this book beyond appealing. There is so much going on in this part of the series that it keeps the reader fascinated. If you are a lover of romance novels, this is the book for you! We see throughout how possessive and unrelenting Josh is in his conquest for his love for KK. Sadly, he was not there for her when her father passed away and KK lost her inhibition with one of the doctors who were caring for her father. One kiss was powerful enough to have this man lose all of his senses as he continued to pursue his love interest. Later we see the turmoil between Josh and the doctor. This sends KK over the edge and straight into the arms of her savior, Jake. The events that occur next are all but shocking and completely took my breath away. Marriage proposals and arguments ensue as KK comes to her senses. We are left yearning for more as book 2 comes to a close. I can't wait to read the last book in this series. Ms. Blakely?"I so ever loved this book once I finally could concentrate on it which was entirely my fault not the books. Too many reads at the same time. But this is a must read. I am reading the first one as I also received that but this review is on Book 2.To quickly summarize- this is after the merger between Crawford Enterprises and Blakely Conglomerate. Before Kasey Blakely's father could sign over the shares to the Crawfords he had the heart attack. Now they were waiting to see what happened. Meanwhile, Kasey who is romantically involved with one of the sons' of Crawford Enterprises, Josh; catches him walking outside the bathroom with another woman while fixing his clothes. She automatically assumed the worst. Upon this, she hears of her father's heart attack which in turn proves to be fatal. Flying to be with her father she uses the time to assess the relationship she had with Josh and also finds other interested parties. When Josh flies to be with her and also to discuss their relationship professional and business wise he proposes to her. She doesn't answer him which gives the other brother, Jake hope as he, at the end of the novel, and this leads you to book three.First off, I think that the relationship dynamics between the main characters is excellent. The love triangle that you are unaware of but becomes delineated as time goes on in the story. The fact that this all goes on in the midst of a merger between two companies. The fact that the one feels very possessive of her and believes that he is the only one; of course that taking her for granted gets her to his brother. Word to the wise-do not take your girl for granted. Also, the scenery is well written out to me as well. The hospital scene when she goes to have them bring her father back so that she can say goodbye. The sex scenes were well written as well. I think they fit well into the storyline as you can see that it shows that the couple has feelings for each other. What I think you the reader will take away from this second book is an understanding of how she feels torn about the relationship-Kasey. I think you will notice that the people around her support that. I don't want to tell you how it ends but you have to read for yourself.I highly recommend this book to the readers of www.amazon.com.Pursuant to regulations I am informing you that I did receive a copy of the novel.

By Chervinski84 “Merger Undone” started off running from the start and there wasn't much time between events to become bored. There were so many twists and turns with this novel that it made you not want to put it down. I like the fact that the novel started right off from the last and kept the story going. I would definitely say reading the first installment would be beneficial to get the backstory of these characters and how they've come to this point. If you did start with this novel, I think one would be really confused. The on and off pull between Kasey and Joshua continues in this novel and I wonder how they would recover from the climatic ending to the previous novel in the series.By the end of this novel I was very disappointed in Kasey's behavior and her interactions between the Crawford brothers. I could understand her going through a traumatic time, but that doesn't excuse some of her actions. I don't know how things can get better after all she has done between characters, but I can honestly say that I am anxious to read the last novel in the series. I really want to know what is going to happen now that Kasey has walked away from both the Crawford brothers and everything in her life seems to be in shambles. Joshua and Jake are both heartbroken and the mystery of Uncle Richard still hangs in the air. I wasn't expecting how the events unfolded between the relationships of Kasey, Joshua and Jake and was thrown for a loop when Dr. Nichols was inserted into all the mess of the story. I wonder if he'll be in the next installment and how Kasey is going to fix things. This novel had some grammatical errors, but aside from those, it seemed to be well written and thought out. The story flowed with great plot twists and took different paths than anticipated. “Merger Complete” will definitely be on my list of books to read next.I received a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

WORST "Romance" on this site By Mouser OMG Do NOT download this!It's as if the author has never read an eBook, never visited one of the thousands of websites that tell you how to format an eBook, and didn't even proofread.There is a space between every paragraph, making you mentally pause with each as if it was a scene break. In between a couple are random "Chapter 3-" and "Chapter 7-" occurring within the paragraphs of chapters 5 and 6. At least it explains why the graphic sex between Lila and her sworn enemies happens so fast, it was probably in another order originally and moved around.There are also entire pages of blank space, which is NEVER acceptable in an eBook.I had to stop at Chapter 6. Couldn't go on. Be warned SPOILERS AHEAD!Even a romance needs a subplot. The subplot here is were-bears killed Lila's adoptive family, so she hates bears with every fiber of being (but is okay living with the very wolves that killed her birth family for some godforsaken reason). However, only a few chapters in Grant, the were-bear chief, tells Lila the wolves that murdered her birth family also killed her adoptive family, she accepts this, so....why the hell read on?Oh, there is the patently OBVIOUS twist that the event that made Grant brooding when he was 14 was witnessing the murder of her parents. Given so much more attention is paid to Grant than Adrian, it seems logical she'll choose Grant, but frankly, I don't care.Christ, Amira, just f-ing Google "how to format an eBook" and learn how to do it, then go buy "Romance Novels for Dummies" and learn how to write a plot and characters that are actually interesting. Having just joined Kindle Unlimited and read some free ebooks, I've seen a lot of crap, but this is easily the worst.It truly appears that Amira has never read a decently written romance novel, and somehow made an eBook and didn't bother to A) learn basic formatting and B) double check it. For godsakes, Lila is just a codependent woman straight out of a 90's romantic comedy who is so desperate she will drop everything, including vengeance, for a hot man who pays attention to her. Grant is "stock brooding romantic hero" from an 80's romantic comedy, and Adrian's only character development is to tell insensitive jokes to show he's the goofy one. The subplot dies in the first 10% and there is NO ROMANCE between the characters, they just meet, the boys dump Lila on their aunt, then they have overly graphic sex. There's nothing to propel you on to even care about the "romance."DO NOT READ THIS TRASH. It's offensive on just about every level a book can be.

First with the murder of her biological parents to wolves led by their Alpha Malachi, and finally through the deaths of her adoptive parents. One has to be strong as a human growing up amongst the very same wolf shifters that killed your biological parents.Later after the deaths of her adoptive parents the elder wolves decided that she had no place living in their town of Stony Rapids so the auctioned her off to bear shifters of Sun Creek. Their town wasn't anything like Stony Rapids. It was beautiful and more advanced than the dirt roads she was used to during the Post Freeze era. Due to the Post Freeze, women were of very few, which was why the auctions took place; and Lila being a curvaceous beauty could bring in a lot of coins.Grant, Adrian and Samuel were not only brothers, but they were hella fine in every way. Especially with their sleepy like sexy eyes. Although each brought to the table different personalities and strengths, ultimately Grant was the chief of the town of Sun Creek. They all lived in a very large home with the rest of their loving family. The elder of the home was their Aunt Mil who I loved in this book. She took care of everybody even Lila when she came to live with them. First very apprehensive because of the circumstance, but ultimately embracing their love when she came to know them.The difficultly with Lila lay in her choosing between Grant and Adrian to be her mate for life and all the while dealing with the fighting between the bear shifters and wolf shifters. Who will Lila choose? Will her cold, wounded heart heal and allow her to embrace the love that she deserves? Will wolves ever stop the attacks on Stony Rapids in effort to gain their wealth and access to their commodity? All the answers and more are in this book. It is truly a book worth reading. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. NICE DONE AND A CREDIBLE STORY By Joyce J. Ruskuski I really like the stories that seem to generate a wide variety of opinions among its readers. I especially like when they rate from most 5 stars to an occasional 1 star. This was one of those.I found the story to be nicely written for the most part. There were one or two minor errors in grammar, punctuation or spelling but mostly it was a smooth read. I love the idea of the human population being mostly deceased after the FREEZE. Which I can only guess was some sort of nuclear event, sense the author never really explained it to my satisfaction. What was left where shifters of all types, bear, dragon, wolf, etc..I particularly like that the wolf shifters were portrayed as the least evolved of the shifter genre. More ruthless, more selfish and definitely more heartless with all those around them. They reminded me of heartless predators such as natural wolves. I also found it interesting that human females who survived were in great demand for breeding purposes of the shifters. Though it was unclear why there was a problem with breeding with their own kind it seemed that population growth was difficult with both humans and the shifter females and growth in numbers was slow to recover.I love the bear shifters in this story and I loved the love story that evolved between Lila, Grant and Adian. I thought is was really sexy, hot. It moved slowly and was an incredible depiction of a love growing and flourishing over time. I like the menage twist to this one and the ending warmed my heart.Overall I think the author did a credible job with this story and I think it is one that you enjoy and is worth your time. What I have found with the ratings on these stories is that the majority is usual, but not always, correct in their judgment of an author's efforts.

By Eric Laughton This book is outstanding! I've never really thought of "clarity maps"; and I thought that was quite unique. However, what really stands out in your book for me is the visuals provided that are combined with the clarity maps. They are extremely professional and they grab you; as well they drive all the point (power tools) home. And I love the quotes in the book; everything from Aristotle to Jerry Seinfeld! By the way, the one visual that really grabbed me was the one of the roller coaster. I see myself in that scenario working hard to get to the top (always the challenge!) but then seeing how the downward momentum carries you through further success. Loved the book!

The author does not only bring the content well across in an easy to comprehend fashion he also as excellent pictures that enable the time deprived reader to get a fast review of the content in the first speed read and than dive deeper into those chapters that bring excellent content across. beyond the time factor the graphics support as we all know to internalize the content in various ways. Great idea! This has helped me tremendously to zero in on what was relevant for me while getting an excellent rounded view of a number of tips and tricks to implement in my life!
