Cage spent most of his life as a carefree bachelor. It was a good life with no attachments and a solid job working with his brothers to catch bad guys. Everything changed in an instant when he was crippled on the job, and he watched a man die to save his life. Now, months later, Cage is still confronting the demons of self-worth and his guilt over the other man’s death, along with growing feelings for Whitney, an attractive vet who seems to think he’s still a shallow playboy. Whitney doesn't want to get tangled up with a playboy. She thinks she knows Cage’s type and would rather be alone than risk her heart getting torn apart. When someone starts leaving strange items at her vet clinic, she finds the only man she can trust to help is the one man she’s afraid of getting to know. The two are forced to confront their feelings as they race to figure out why Whitney is being targeted.

Cage: #5 (Allen Securities), by Madison Stevens

About the Author Madison currently lives with her husband and two children in the Valley of the Sun in Arizona. After leaving the frozen tundra of the north, she was more surprised than anyone with how much she has enjoyed living in the desert. Seeing as she stated on more than one occasion before moving to Arizona how much she hated heat, it was an odd move, but it seems her hatred for sub-zero temperatures and ice has won out in the end. When she's not writing, she's enjoying time with her family. Madison and her family frequent festivals in the area, as well as local cultural events, and spend time with family in the area. In the summer, she is most likely to be found in the pool with the family and in the winter by the fireplace. Since both her children are autistic, days can be a little chaotic, but with her husband beside her, there's nothing she can't handle.

Leopold Classic Library is delighted to publish this classic book as part of our extensive collection. As part of our on-going commitment to delivering value to the reader, we have also provided you with a link to a website, where you may download a digital version of this work for free. Many of the books in our collection have been out of print for decades, and therefore have not been accessible to the general public. Whilst the books in this collection have not been hand curated, an aim of our publishing program is to facilitate rapid access to this vast reservoir of literature. As a result of this book being first published many decades ago, it may have occasional imperfections. These imperfections may include poor picture quality, blurred or missing text. While some of these imperfections may have appeared in the original work, others may have resulted from the scanning process that has been applied. However, our view is that this is a significant literary work, which deserves to be brought back into print after many decades. While some publishers have applied optical character recognition (OCR), this approach has its own drawbacks, which include formatting errors, misspelt words, or the presence of inappropriate characters. Our philosophy has been guided by a desire to provide the reader with an experience that is as close as possible to ownership of the original work. We hope that you will enjoy this wonderful classic book, and that the occasional imperfection that it might contain will not detract from the experience.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Women and Poverty By S. Campton Good essay's on the times. Makes one appreciate the working conditions of the day. A good warning still to businesses on how to avoid Unions (by treating workers decently). Per the times it was written in (1897 and published about 1900) blames Jews for much of the issues...which is sad..b/c that same anti-Jewish bias exists today. If you like history you'll like this, but keep it in context.

My name is Rev. Leah Tenderfoot; I’m a Minister in the Metaphysical Spiritual realm. I found Mikisa in the shores of Oregon. Mikisa came to me as a stick the handsome one. He told me he was an Angel and he was here to help me to find love and accept myself. Mikisa was the most beautiful angel I ever experienced. He taught me how to open my heart and accept myself as a special person. Ben is my godson and was with me since he was born. When Ben took his nap, he would hold Mikisa and smile while he slept. When Ben was old enough to play with Mikisa I told him to hold him in his arms and feel his love. I would tell Ben just to close his eyes and know that he was the pin point of light that lives in his heart. Everywhere we went Mikisa would come with us. Ben would play and use Mikisa as a sword. Ben knew about the light that came from God in a very early age. I told Ben about the adventures that Mikisa and I would have and at the age of 14 Ben said let’s write a book about Mikisa. He wanted to write it for children to help them feel the light within the heart. He asked me if he could be the one that found him and have the adventures. So we decided that was a great idea. He sat in front of the computer and started writing while I told him my adventures. Ben is now 20 and he’s a beautiful artist. Mikisa helped so many people in opening their hearts and reminding them that they are the light. Mikisa was with me for 10 years and that was one of the reasons I decided to become a minister.

Nestled in the Piedmont region of the Appalachian Mountains, the small farming community of Pine Ankle was established in the 1830s on the former lands of the Creek Nation. In 1872, industrialists Samuel Noble and Daniel Tyler purchased the land for their Woodstock Iron Company, and in 1883 the town was opened to the public as Annies Town. It grew rapidly, and by the early 20th century Anniston was not only the seat of Calhoun County, but also home to numerous textile and iron industries as well as a thriving military complex. The vintage photographs in Images of America: Anniston Revisited showcase the daily lives of Annistonians and Fort McClellan soldiers during a time when Noble Street was a bustling urban center. Annistons homes, schools, and community centers are featured, along with the expanded downtown area and Fort McClellan, to paint a vivid portrait of The Model City.

I very much like US history and Anniston By Franj I very much like US history and Anniston, so it was only natural that I bought and truly enjoyed this book. The many black and white images (each with explanatory text) and the concise chapter introductions all combine to conveniently (and efficiently) communicate so much more than most history books typically do. I have seen the publisher's books (Arcadia) displayed in book stores in various parts of the country and personally love the ratio of image to text. That said, author Kimberly O'Dell did a superb job of selecting interesting images and weaving tight, informative narrative around them. If you want to know about Anniston's history, I consider this book a "must have". If you simply like American history, I say give it a try. After all, Anniston has a special place in our history, having been known as "The Model City".

It has been nearly a thousand years since the Afótama have had a chieftain, and the old Viking gods have decided it’s time to return some power to the tribe’s men. Harvey Lang and Oliver Gilisson have barely settled into their roles as queen’s consorts when new powers awaken along with undeniable hungers. Queen Contessa now has two chieftains and twice as many problems. She’s not only in the midst of using her powerful psychic abilities to track long-missing clanspeople, but now has to contend with mercenaries targeting the Afótama’s New Mexican desert home and a megalomaniac fairy queen wants to take Ollie’s sons. Further, her two men seem to have forged an incendiary connection that has left her feeling cold. If Harvey, Ollie, and Tess are to be the leaders who finally return magic to their people, they must first come to terms with having power of their own. And to balance their strengths, they may have to become a true ménage instead of a sometime threesome. ___ This book contains an MMF ménage scenario and scenes of male/male intimacy. Also available in The Afótama Legacy: -The Viking Queen's Men -Viking's Pride -Viking Flame (preorder now)

About the Author Holley Trent is a Carolina girl gone west. Raised in rural coastal North Carolina, she’s a lady with Southern sensibilities, but in 2011 her adventurous spirit drove her to Colorado for new experiences. She lives on the Front Range with her husband, two kids, and two cats. She writes snarky contemporary and paranormal romances ranging from sensual to erotic that are usually set in her home state. Her humor is sometimes subtle, often ribald, and regularly inappropriate. If any of her stories seem overly serious at first glance–keep reading. She’s a winner of the inaugural CIM-RWA Abalone Award (for My Nora) and a three-time Colorado Romance Writers Award of Excellence finalist (My Nora, Calculated Exposure, and A Demon in Waiting). A Demon in Waiting was a RomCon Readers’ Crown finalist in 2014. See her full backlist of titles at http://www.holleytrent.com.

1 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Loved it By A M Kavanagh I love this series. The first book nicely set the stage with great world building an characters. This book is all about the evolution of the characters and the story. A lot of new characters are introduced that you can't wait to know more about. This book answered a few questions but added more new ones. Can't wait to see how the future unfolds! The evolution of Tess, Ollie and Harvey relationship was yummy. I really love how well they mesh together. They sure had a rocky road to get there though. The set up for Nadia, Jeff and Thom, something to look forward to! The addition of Adam and his wolves, want to see more of them.Lachlan and O'tama was a pleasant surprise. Then there is Heath, his story is going to be explosive. Can't wait for June!

I like the storyline and I don't mine reading come novels along a same theme. I don't like this open running never ending storyline. Feels like I never get the full story. It got a five because it was so good and it's character depth was excellent.

The heat level is scorching in this book, but I couldn't get enough of it. I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series and will follow this author closely for new releases!
