She’s been sexy billionaire Sam Hunt’s right hand woman for six years, and up until now she’s been able to push thoughts of having him as anything other than a friend aside. When Sam’s flavor of the week pushes things too far, April finds herself out of a job and with mixed feelings for Sam.With Sam’s company about to go public, April taking a job with his father—his enemy—is a risky option. She discovers something that could bring Sam’s company to its knees, and she and Sam will need to work together to save all their hard work as well as their relationship.Teaching the Boss was a well written contemporary romance. It hooked me in early on and kept me reading late into the night. Sam starts off as a bit of a playboy, but ultimately it’s revealed that he mostly uses these women—mutually—for publicity. It’s easy to fall in love with him right along with April. I actually enjoyed that the book didn’t start at the beginning of their relationship. They’ve known each other for six years, so this wasn’t a case of instant love. Their relationship progressed at a good pace. For once it was nice to see the alpha male listening to the advice of the heroine and not always thinking he was the only one who could be right.The secondary characters were well incorporated into the story, never leaving me feeling like their scenes were filler. I even enjoyed them enough to want to read other books in the series about them.If you enjoy sexy billionaires and strong heroines, this book is a must read. I was not expecting such an an extremely violent, abusive plot as was depicted in click. Whilst these situations do occur in reality, when I purchase a work of fiction I want to escape some of the harshness of reality .

Killing Me Softly By Erani Kole I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.This book, previously having been three novellas, ruined me after I read this. It brought on so much drama and emotion that half the time I was crying if not laughing at the ridiculously embarrassing moments MJ had with Helios. Their story was intense because of the dark things both love interests experienced, but the near ending of this broke my heart to pieces. I think I also hated them for a bit before their Happily Ever After finally came.This is a recommended read for the hardcore romantics, but I warn you that it is one of Marian Tee's darkest stories. The writing is amazing at pulling you in and making you forget that you're reading a book rather than watching a mini show in your mind. The characters are humorous, the villains are beyond dastardly, and the heroine is a breath of fresh air, even in her darker moments.

This book makes me reconsider. I should have stopped reading after swish. After that thugs get weird, like the author just threw in plot points to keep the story moving and tied it all together later. I don't understand what the hell happened. This book is not for the faint of heart, and I don't mean in a fun carnal way, this book goes beyond the bounds of normal. What the characters do to "save" each other is horrible. It was awful to even contemplate some of the things that happen in burn and click. And if those events actually occurred I highly doubt MJ would ever leave the sanctity of a mental ward. I believe in the power of true love, but this is far beyond anything I would remotely call true love.

I teach a business class, and at the end of class I awarded several youth a gift copy because this book addresses youth career advice and provide links to many relevant subjects relating to youth; and it is the perfect size for a teen to read and not get bored with it! Kudos' to the author our youth need a hand tool as you have developed in this book!

I wasn't going to read yet because it was a trilogy and I really hate cliffhangers, but this book was amazing and will be worth the wait for the next book.Savannah has been held captive for months. She just wants to go home. She is ready to give up and just die. Before that can happen she is rescued. But now she has to chose between being held captive again or going home and risk being kidnapped again. What will she choose?Her life may be in shambles, but she is actually learning to love again. She is making friends in the house she's staying at. She's not sure what's happening, but she's got a lot of big decisions to make about her life. She's still struggling with everything that happened to her and not knowing everything that's happening. But each day she's getting better. Will she find her peace? Or will she succumb to the pain of all her memories?I'm not going to lie this book ends on a cliffy, but it's one I'm okay with. It's a trilogy so I have to believe everything will be alright. This book is one of the best books I've read this year!! Definitely going to be sitting on pins and needles until I get book two and three.

10 of 10 people found the following review helpful. sorry if its a mess but i havent finished freaking out.... By Kataya Oh. My. God. I found out about this book from a blog on Instagram. And I am so thankful I found it. This book grabbed my attention from the very start. I loved savannah. She is so strong. Cole is tough but has a soft side to him when it comes to savannah. This being the first part of the series it started the series beautifully. A little hard to read at the start because of the nature of the situation but very well written. It captures your attention and breaks your heart. But then things get better and you are taken on this ride, unsure of what's going to happen but loving it. Loved all the twists and turns it took. I loved that little clues were dropped here and there as to what really happened. The author didn't give everything away fast and I think that's what made this so good. You continued to wonder and make guesses. It is a good thing this is only the first installment because what a cliffhanger this one ended on. It made me laugh and cry. Some parts were downright heartbreaking while others made you feel like you were floating on a cloud. I love savannah and Cole and I can't wait to read what happens next. Needless to say i would read it again and again.And I have to say that the author J.L. Drake is so nice. She responded to comments and was super sweet. It just makes me want to read the books even more.

9 of 9 people found the following review helpful. A pretty good read Beware the Cliff-hanger!!! By Lillymay Black I really liked this book. I would have given it 4 stars, but in some parts the grammar issues made it hard to read. I will definitely read the following books. For those of you who don't like cliff-hangers stay away from this book it has a huge one. I loved Cole he was a perfect alpha male. I still have mixed feelings on Savi. In many was I liked her and in many I found her somewhat annoying. She seemed to have no survival instincts what so ever. I couldn't figure out why she would antagonize York knowing he was a little crazy, but by god she kept doing it. In fact at one point we figure out she is 28. She came of much younger 21 or 22 to me. As far as the secondary characters Mark, Keith I loved them. I would definitely recommend this book if you don't mind a cliff-hanger. This is also not a dark read so if your expecting that you might be disappointed.
