Keeping Allie - An emotional rollercoaster of a finale By Kindle Customer This final book of the Breaking Away trilogy, Keeping Allie, began with Allie being held captive by her kidnappers, Atlas MC, under horrific conditions, until she can be turned over to Mexican drug lord, El Brujo. But why is Chase an active participant in the process, and why is he treating her so callously and speaking to and about her as if she meant less than nothing to him? Allie's experiences while being held are any woman's worst nightmare and what happens to her following her abduction until her release is physically and emotionally devastating. There are some major revelations and big surprises and Allie is eventually freed from captivity. Living with her sister, she suffers from constant nightmares, PTSD, and is barely able to exist with any semblance of normalcy. She has no idea whether Chase was able to escape alive from Atlas MC and has not seen nor heard from or about him since her release from captivity. Then one day, while working as a waitress in the tiny luncheonette that has given her a job and allowed her to begin to take her life back and heal, she watches a news clip of Chase plunging to his death during a motorcycle stunt gone wrong.This book was an emotional rollercoaster. It lifts you up one moment and drags you down the next. Kudos to Meli Raine for her debut series. I loved her descriptive writing style. It allowed you to experience everything along with the characters, most significantly with Allie. Although this book is filled with all kinds of highs and lows, it is absolutely riveting and definitely worth the read.I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Wow!!! Awesome Read! By Lady E Another great book by this author. This third installment in the series was an awesome read. There is so much going on. Allie was losing hope and starting to think her world had been totally turned upside down. Everything she thought she knew about how Chase felt about her was challenged. The surprise she found in Jackie was a surprise indeed. I did not see that coming. Chase's brother Mark was another refreshing accompaniment to this story. You have to get the whole series. You will not be disappointed. I am looking forward to reading whatever this author puts out next.

Allow wakes up tied up and Chase is acting like he can't wait to give her to El Bruno, the Mexican drug lord. Chase arranges for her to be rescued before she can be taken, but there are many twists and turns and I don't want to give away the plot. You need to read it to find out how the happy ending comes about.

Just what I need for a little bit to relax this weekend.After a messy break up and a ski accident that ended his Olympic career, these two wan to get out of town and try to regroup and see where their lives are headed next.Emily is now homeless and jobless and is thanking god that Holly offered her this temp position as a chalet girl or she doesn't know where she would be...Jake had a ski accident and it looks like his career is over and Holly's boyfriend offers him a chance to get away...Then cupid takes over, will there be sparks?

There are tons of books about strippers out there and then books about strippers meeting this guy who changes there life… all the same right? Well this one is different and it’s so different I was on the edge of my seat the entire time! I had no idea what was going to happen and everything I thought was going to happen was dead wrong. I was shocked at the twists and turns that happened in this book.I was so addicted that I read it all in one sitting. Just when you thought you were finally safe there is just an explosion that literally changes the way you have read the entire book and you almost want to go back and re read things but it won’t change! It’s amazing all the twists and turns you NEVER see coming! There is betrayal, lies, murder and somewhere along the line there is love.Speaking of love…I loved the relationship between Kip and Honey. It was raw and real. It was powerful sexual and emotional. They connected like peanut butter and jelly or a kinkier version of such togetherness. It was almost as if they completed each other. Two halves of the same whole.The way the author described this world. The detail was amazing I could see myself being inside it. I could feel things as they were happening. I laughed and I… well… Let me just say that this book is HOT holy hell. Kip is that bad boy you don’t wanna take home to mama. Jeeze he is a walking talking sex machine and his ‘innocence’ will melt you straight to the core. You will need time with your BOB and you will need to find a new boyfriend because Kip will win your heart… well at least until… or wait?What!! I can’t take this! All of the suspense is making me crazy! I have to keep reading! I have to know what happens! Too many twists. So messed up and twisted. Maybe? Nope! Can’t tell you! Oh god you have to read it for yourself and find out! I can’t spoil it!I honestly don’t know what happened because there was so much going on I could see this being an action movie! I can’t wait to read the next one! I’m hooked!

25 of 30 people found the following review helpful. This was just okay for me. By Adrienne I picked up Love the Way You Lie curious about the story after reading an excerpt. It's my first from this author and I dove in knowing nothing really. The writing style of Skye Warren is hard to describe. The internal dialogue of the main character Honor was great. I felt like I was right there with her, feeling her shame, her resilience, her determination. The spoken dialogue between characters felt off. I can only describe it like the characters knew the story in their heads and they had these conversations that made sense to them but didn't necessarily translate to the reader.There were many things that felt off in this particular story. I think the biggest one for me was that it didn't feel like a standalone book in a new series. I felt like I was missing a lot of background. Maybe that was intentional. I don't think so. I was missing filler dialogue, cohesive thoughts, tangible interactions.I sort of understood what Honor was doing at The Grand. Even though it took a while to get there. She wasn't just hiding from her mob family and scary as hell fiance. She was looking for her mother, praying that she wasn't really dead. She really wasn't even a stripper but more like a prostitute disguised as a stripper. It's interesting because as I was reading I kept thinking that she was strong enough to escape from her family but had absolutely no backbone when it came to stripping/hooking. She just did whatever she had to do. She had no remorse really. Maybe she was just resigned to doing whatever. But even then it didn't make her feel dirty. Or it didn't come across that way. There is only one incident that I can think of between her and Kip where she felt ashamed. And that was totally justified and understandable.I did appreciate the lengths Honor was willing to go to in order to protect her sister Clara. And I would have liked to read more interaction between the two so I could understand that dynamic better.Kip hmmmm lets discuss the mysterious Kip. I felt nothing for the guy. He says he's dangerous. He says stay away. He says I'll hurt you. And yet Honor has no issues being in his company. They have no meaningful conversations and yet they apparently have some deep connection to each other that's not really explained. He totally stalked her and she didn't even question it. Not really anyway. Here she was running and hiding from her family and she didn't even question Kip's motives.I feel bad that this didn't work for me. I really tried to understand the authors intent. Even after everything is explained and truths are told, I was still left feeling very confused. I just don't know how Honor got from point A to point B.*A copy of this book was kindly provided by the author in exchange for an honest review*

A suspenseful, twisty treat for the dark lovers.I loved this one. I'm a Skye Warren fan as it is, but this book just solidified my love for her writing. Love the Way Lie is tame in comparison to her others works, it's not as dark as some, but darker than others. Some where in the middle. I'm going to be vaguein my review because I don't want to spoil.Honey strips to stay hidden. A past better left forgotten, but how can you forget? Her pride, her self worth is squashed every time she takes her clothes off. She hides in plain sight, watching for shadows lurking in the dark, for the past to catch up with her.Let me tell you, Kip is this mysterious hot piece of alpha stalking his prey. These two are explosive. Boom. Fireworks. I had this overwhelming feeling of stranger danger, don't trust him, Honey. But he was too much bad boy to resist. Is he going to help or is he the one she should be running from?? You have to find that out on your own."Now he is an animal in repose, a lion spread across a rock, bathing in the sun—even if the rock is a creaking wooden chair, straining under his force. Even if the sun is the flicker of fluorescent lights from the edges of the velvet curtain. It’s still primal. Still beautiful."Skye Warren took my breath away with her descriptions. Her writing is darkly beautiful. It's been a while since I read a book by her, I wondered if she always written this way, or has she evolved. She has self esteem issues, body image issues, and cannot believe anyone would ever look at her in a romantic way. Snap!!Jenna has had a tough few years since a terrible car accident had her running from her past. She constantly changes numbers, stays in motels, doesn't use her credit card, scared she will be tracked down if she makes just one simple mistake. Unfortunately her car breaks down and she has no choice but to stay in one place longer than she is comfortable with.She meets the local mechanic, local bad boy Ryker. He instantly develops a connection with Jenna, but she can't quite get it into her head he would ever be really interested in her. They are so different, yet share heartbreak in their past.Surely this common link can bring them together? Or will it force them apart even before they have the chance to explore the possibilities?With her past fast catching up with Jenna she has to decide if she can trust Ryker, and his brother Mikey, with her deepest darkest secret, opening herself up totally for the first time in years.Can these two work things out, or will the past destroy any possible future they may have?This was a good read due to my connection with Jenna's character, but also because it features Ryker, who I challenge any female reader not to fall in love with! It also isn't your run of the mill romance story as it has the added thriller/drama element as well. A good read, recommended for lovers of romantic thrillers with a hot lead male character.

Suspense is Palpable By Jackie Roche This is the first book I've read by Marissa Farrar but it won't be the last.I quickly got immersed in the story and I liked Jenna, the main character, immensely. It' refreshing to meet a character who is human and sees the faults in her body, although I do think she was too hard on herself.As you're reading the tension is palpable. You feel as if you're looking over Jenna's shoulder checking Garrett's not there. A few times my heart was beating 19 to the dozen, and I was holding my breath wondering what was going to happen next.For anyone who loves suspense novels mixed up with romance, I would highly recommend this book.I was given this copy by my book club for an honest review.

Jenna isn't your typical young women she has been abused emotionally and physically by her ex boyfriend. Jenna is a beautiful girl but has a little extra weight and she sees herself has an overweight unlovable women. Her ex has done a number on her self esteem and she has come to believe everything he has told her. She is running from her horrible past and then she meets Ryker. Oh Ryker I so wish I could have known what he was thinking throughout this book! He was amazing. He was strong and compassionate. He liked Jenna from the very beginning and he wasn't shy in telling her. They fall hard for each other but there is one huge complication. Jenna is on the run and she is afraid her ex is closer then she believed! Can Ryker get Jenna to stay and trust him to protect her. Can Jenna give her whole self to Ryker. Can they be together or will her horrible ex ruin everything?I loved this book and the suspense. I can so relate to Jenna and her self esteem issues! It's hard being overweight and then to have someone point out your flaws and call you names is demeaning. I loved how we got to see her progression throughout the book! She turns into a strong motivated women.

About the Author Datrice M. Stalling is the CEO of Com2Pass, LLC. She is an enthusiastic goal setting empowerment coach. She uses inspiration and directional approaches while encouraging men and women to become serious goal setters. By Claudia Alfaro 4.5 stars!!!I started to read this book without knowing what it was about, I thought it was about romance between Ronnie (Veronica Harper) and Erik, girl meets boy and bla bla bla…. Wrong, this book has a mix of suspense, drama, mystery, crime, action and of course Romance (that’s my fave gender).As soon as I started reading it, something draw my attention, Veronica has to protect (as a bodyguard) this sexy British actor Erik Sinclair who has received threats because he has to play the lead role of a playboy with fetish for BDSM on a best selling book’s movie and fans of the book disagree with the choice. Well I immediately thought about my (yes mine) Jamie Dornan, ok he’s British but if you read this book you’ll notice several likeness.“He looks like any other guy, but perhaps more handsome than most. More like impossibly handsome.”Anyway, the book has an interesting plot, Veronica has a haunted past and Erik will try to fix her, but meantime both are in danger and Veronica has to keep both save.You can feel the sex tension between them and the beginning of their love but unfortunately this love won’t be easy because of Veronica’s demons.Love the characters, even though her awful past Veronica, aka Ronnie, she’s independant, strong, funny and you love her immediately. And well Erik Sinclair is not like the kind of Hollywood celebrity, he’s down to the earth, kind, caring, loving, handsome and too damn sexy!The book is well written, the title sums perfectly the story, there is a betrayal but you never expect the spin off, this is the first book of the series and the end has a cliffhanger and I’m really can’t wait to know what’s next.100% recomended.

As you can tell I just finished Ultimate Betrayal:Revelations!! I kept looking at my percent left as I was reading thinking no way this is gonna wrap up that quickly but hot damn that's one hell of an ending! I don't mind cliffhangers but honestly though (for some unknown reason) that this was a standalone. Surprise!!! It's got a HUGE CLIFFHANGER!!!I must say how much I loved this story. When I started it I went in blind and was pleasantly surprised right from the beginning. Ronnie is a seriously badass chick! Of course we fall in love with Erik early on and the chemistry between these 2 is electric! You can feel it while reading.The twisty turns throughout this novel were awesome! I must say Jeff's part in this story just blew my mind! I won't say anymore as I don't want to give anything away but holy crap!!!This was a really unexpected & enjoyable read for me & I can't wait for the next book!! 4.5 star rating from me!*I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion*

Mastering Life’s Seven Principles is a very interesting book, indeed. I really enjoyed the stories the author tells throughout the book, and I really appreciate his ability to tell it like it is. He doesn’t mince words and that’s one thing I look for in a book such as this. I enjoyed reading the chapter for Principle 3 about integrity. And the chapter on Wisdom is not to be missed. Even if you don’t change a thing, this chapter is worth the price of the book. Wise but not preachy, and I didn't get the feeling of "you should...;" rather leaving the choice up to the reader. I understand the 7 principles; they certainly make sense. Will I ever achieve them all? Probably not. But even if you achieve just one, or even parts of a few, this book will be very good addition to your library.

The book makes you feel like you are having a conversation with the author. The book makes you get to the heart of why we do things to sabotage our lives, but don't be fooled--it's also quite humorous. The view that the author has on life is inspiring, and it comes across in the book. I enjoyed the stories that Ari tells in the book, and one of my favorite parts is the seventh principle. It is an eye-opener!
