I don't like that Angie falls so hard for Gabe again when he can't be honest with her as to his feelings. I want to know why he walked away and stayed away. Why did he marry his ex-wife. Why did Angie marry her husband knowing that she was still had Gabe under her skin. Can't wait to find out!

Life separated them once but I doubt that will happen this time. They both have been married and know what it was like to continue to want more from a relationship and sex. They are, after all, only words, and can easily go in one ear and out the other, as most of the thousands of words we read and hear each day generally do. They are, however, one of the primary ways humans communicate with each other. Words can be helpful and instructional, they can be entertaining and humorous, useless noise, or even offensive and hurtful. When they are strung together in a way that speaks truth to our hearts, they can be inspiring and valuable beyond measure.What is the yardstick for truth in words, though? How do we measure or judge that? Language is not like mathematics, where numbers and symbols can be manipulated to give one correct solution to a problem, with unassailable proof. Making the transition from our demanding daily lives to a spacious place for quiet reflection is a great challenge for everyone, necessary if we desire to integrate our internal and external worlds. This book is an effective way to make that transition.I really like its format—you can read passages for each day, dip into it at random, or read larger sections at a time. You might be inspired to read more of the teachings of particular authors, making the reference list at the end a useful tool. The book’s greatest benefit is that it brings you closer to your inner self and the potential to experience what’s true for you. It’s small and light, so it’s often with me no matter where I am. I can really recommend this little gem filled with wisdom. Bravo to the author!

His view at ground level was so very different than above the countryside. Wider and broader perspectives opened up to him. He likens that broadening change of view to his spiritual journey to understand life and enrich his inner being.Soul Work is a compendium of 570 quotes of wisdom and insights from over 40 years of reading and practice. It is a daily guide of encouragement and advice for those on that spiritual journey. What is impressive is breadth from which he draws his words of wisdom, from Jesus to Lao Tzu to James Thurber. Dr. Vessey finds wisdom without regard to beliefs or superficial labels. They all search for Truth.This is not a book to read and put away. It is a book to savor. Everyday brings a new insight, a different perspective on living and ultimately finding a fuller self. It is a book to aid as you grow in your Soul Work.

I'm so glad I did By Regency Fan It's hard to find a new regency writer that remains (mostly) true to the period, provides a light-hearted romance, and yet can develop a plot that is intricate enough to entertain and keep the reader engaged. I was greatly entertained by Joyce Harmon's first regency novel, A Feather to Fly With, and willing to give The World's a Stage a try, even though I am not usually a fan of theater-based settings and characters. I'm so glad I did! It was a fun, entertaining read from beginning to end with never a jarring note. The characters were sympathetic and well drawn with just the right amount of whimsy and (of course, since we have a hero who rescues a heroine from a dire fate) a little bit of pathos. Having worked my way through all of Georgette Heyer, Barbara Metzger, Joan Smith, and other classic regency authors, I'm glad to find Miss Harmon carrying on in their tradition. I will definitely check out any offering that has her name on it in the future!

By dlovestodance I don't read romance often, mainly because bodice rippers are so prevalent and good writing is so scarce, it's hard to wade through the sludge to find the gems. All of Joyce Harmon's books are gems. The plots are improbable, but the writing is very well-done and the characters are completely lovable, so I find myself putting aside my scepticism at the situation and just enjoying the read. These books are 100 percent clean, good fun!Thank you, Ms. Harmon, for giving me enough credit for intelligence that I'm not treated to an anxious internal dialogue from one character or another on every other page about how much they love their interest, but how they are so unworthy. I am also completely relieved that none of the main characters throw indignant childish tantrums over trivial things just for the sake of added drama. I was never a fan of the Jerry Springer show.Especially thank you for having characters that display true, caring love and a reasonable mature intelligence rather than being consumed by lustful thoughts every time they were in the presence of their love interest. I hate being thrust into someone else's pipe dream.I look forward to many more novels from you, keep up the good work!

By OLT You can enjoy this little Regency as a standalone but it's the third in a series, following Harmon's novel A Feather To Fly With and her novella Regency Road Trip, a novella. If you do read those two works first you'll understand some of the secondary characters a bit better and some of the things in this book's hero's past. But, as I said, it's not necessary.Hero Peter Barton is accepted at all the upper-class gentlemen's clubs and all the ton doings. He's not titled but he is managing a good enough life financed by his card-counting gambling and savvy investments. He dresses very well, has intelligent conversation and appears to be a man of the world. But Peter has a secret. He's not a gentleman. He's an actor from a long line of actors in his family background. Everything is going swimmingly as long as matchmaking mamas don't ask him too many questions about his past.Our heroine is a beautiful and talented actress named Amadora, whom all the men drool over and want as their mistress. But Amadora has a secret. She's really well-bred gentlewoman Amy Greenlow, whose reduced circumstances have forced her to earn a living to support herself and her younger sister. Too pretty to be a governess and not wishing to be a maid, she doesn't find many options open to her.Add to the mix a jaded, unpleasant marquess who's obsessed with the beautiful actress and wants to make her his. So Peter needs protection from the matchmaking mamas and Amadora needs protection from the jaded marquess. What to do but agree to feign a protector/actress relationship.Not everything goes to plan. The marquess is quite obsessed and jealous and causes major problems. And Amy has no knowledge of who Peter really is and even has a misplaced idea about his sexual orientation. And things happen that may bring their secrets to the light of day.How can things be resolved? Will the outed secrets destroy our H and h? Will they find happiness? Is there a chance for respectability in Amy's life and can Peter maintain his facade of respectability? Well, read to find out. This has the usual Harmon charm, some humorous moments, and is a pleasant read and a sweet romance. (There are a few typos in this edition but not enough to hinder its reading.)

My Tomorrow is very solidly a New Adult book, so it's not surprising that there's a strong thread of moral ambiguity running through the plot. In the end, I felt like that element made the book more real and deep, but if you want a simple romance with no cheating, this story might not be for you.Okay, with that out of the way, I can definitely say that this is Isbell's best book to date. As soon as you meet Drew, you'll fall in love with him and will be unable to put the book down. Drew is a handsome, wealthy, self-made architect who is, first and foremost, the perfect gentleman. So what's he to do when attracted to his assistant who's ensconced in a four-year-relationship with her live-in boyfriend?My other warning --- you'll be incapable of turning the last page without yearning for book two. Isbell can't write fast enough for me! I hope the sequel comes out very soon.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Wonderful book! By Melissa Correa Wow! Where can I get me a Drew! Wowza!!!! This book is a reason I love reading Megan's books! She has a way of sucking you into a book and falling in love with the characters! Half way through the book I was almost taken back because I didn't know how I wanted this book to progress. I mean I don't like cheaters, but I knew that Natalie deserved something better than what Ethan was giving her! And man did Drew not disappoint! Its a great read that will leave you on your toes wanting more and more! I am excited that Megan is writing a sequel because I did not want this story to end! Buy this book and enjoy it because I know for sure, I certainly did! Great job Megan!

Between Thursday and Saturday night, I have read all 3 stories in this series. I couldn't stop, my eyes were blurry from reading so long and being tired, but I had to know how the story was going to end.I rarely fall in love with the protagonist of a story, especially when written in first person. But I loved Natalie from the first few chapters. I was instantly jealous of the adventure she and Ethan embark on when moving from rural Iowa to New York City. It made me wonder if I could take on a challenge like that and move to somewhere so foreign. I really could feel along with them as they face those initial challenges in a new city as they face challenges.Everything changed when Natalie met Drew. The comforts she had been relying on in her new city were not what brought her comfort anymore. She found that life changes, and things happen in very unexpected ways. Drew was the sort of person that would easily intimidate us small town girls, but he didn't intimidate Natalie. He put her at ease. It was hard not to fall in love with Drew as a reader.The twists and turns in the story were somewhat predictable but that didn't detract from the enjoyment of this book. Megan was able to take a brilliant story line and write it down. I am already re-reading the story!

By bluestocking01 Okay so I'm not gonna lie, I was beyond excited when I woke up yesterday morning with this front and center on my kindle!! I am loving Bryce Evan's For Love of a Shifter series and when I saw who the characters were in the book- Whoop!!!So this book is all about Jansen, Banks, and Star!!! In the previous book we learned that Star is River's sister and one of the powerful three that is to keep the balance in their world. We also met Jansen, the really tall wizard of the Unit and Banks, the bear shifter also assigned to the Unit.Star is such a strong character in this book, I love how she has evolved from the previous book to now. It's a good thing she is such a strong lady, she has to put up with two blockheads!! When Jansen and Banks tell Star that she is their mate, well Star dissolves into nothing but self doubt stemming from her past and snarkiness, loved all the snark! It doesn't help matters when after moving their relationship that crucial step forward, Jansen & Banks up and leave on a mission for the Unit without telling Star anything! Uggh- these two alpha men I wanted to smack upside their seriously dense heads!! Despite intense block head moves on their part, these three eventually come together and get their HEA!This book almost picks up where book two left off, not quite but close enough that you haven't lost the thread of all the stories. Of course all your favorite characters are there, new ones are introduced and there is another creepy vampire after the powerful three. In this book you also got to see Sky, River & Star's brother, get his chance at a happier future. (I would love for Sky to get his own book!) And holy moly, the newest character introduced- WOW!!! I can't wait for the next book and hopefully it is coming soon!!!Warning: Again there are some edits that didn't get fixed in this book. They are becoming few and far between as the books come out BUT if this is going to bother you, don't buy this book. I also feel this book in not a stand alone novel, all books in this series are closely connected and while there is recap- it's not enough to truly understand somethings.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Love it By Ashalka This is book three in the Love of a Shifter series. Star is part of a trio of siblings known as the Powerful Three. Rain, Sky, and Star had not had an easy life, but things had started to look up. Unfortunately, Star is so damaged she is unable to accept the good in people even her friends and especially her mates. Sadly although they mean well, her extremely alpha mates push all her self-doubt buttons. Each time anyone tries to help her or correct her she takes it as a severe criticism of her worth and pushes them away. Ugh, don't get me wrong I love a strong female lead, but in spite of being a physically strong, smart supportive character, she made me tired with the negativity. Yeah, I know she was dealing with some serious emotional damage. I was elated when she finally got to a point when she was able to get past some of her issues and let her mates know what she would and would not accept. I love a story where family and friends stick together in spite of misunderstandings. This to me was the underlying theme, in spite of the miscommunications, self-doubts, mistrust, super protectiveness, and confusing visions and foretellings, an awesome cast of supporting characters, the ability to believe in each other and stick together and communicate helps make this a satisfying and enjoyable read. Now I can't wait to read about Star's brother Sky & his mate Sullivan.I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

By ~*BJG Reviews*~ 4 StarsStar has found her brother and sister and is discovering her destiny, she is determined to live life and enjoy it and no one will EVER tell her how to live it ever again.Jansen and Banks are determined to claim their mate, but apparently they haven't been doing a good job of showing her how they feel. Now it may be too late because she is determined they are just friends, who try to boss her around, and she just won't have that.Star is stubborn as they come and takes what people say Very literally and it causes her to hear and see things in a way they are not necessarily and it causes trouble for her from time to time.Jansen and Banks are Alpha to the core and seem to forget that they can't manhandle everyone around them. Especially their mate, they forget she has a voice too and if they want her to be theirs they'll have to remember to be gentlemen as well as Alphas.As the guys try to prove to Star what she means to them a new threat arises and it could be more dangerous than anything they have faced yet.Star, Sky, and River work to learn more about themselves before it is too late. We see more of all three of them and their friends, family and mates and this world and we learn even more about it.

I know what I'm talking about. I was a smoker for 39 years from the age of 12, and I can honestly say that I wished I never started smoking at all. Those reasons could be for health reasons, for your children’s sake, for financial reasons, or for social reasons. Strength of will is important in giving up. You have to want to give up and stick with it. T By the way, at the same time that I gave up smoking, I gave up alcohol completely. I realized that I was giving in to another habit and one that was truly addictive. Quit smoking now! You are stronger willed than you give yourself credit for!

About the Author Brian lives at Forest Lake, 20 km south west of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia, with his wife Ivanka. He originated from a little coal mining village in County Durham in the north east of England, went to St Aidan's Grammar School in Sunderland and then joined the Royal Air Force in 1967, leaving as a Warrant Officer in 1991. During his service in the military, he was stationed at many places overseas and was involved in the Falklands Conflict and the first Gulf War, Desert Storm. Brian has a love of wildlife photography and produced a photo book "The Lake at Forest Lake" of all the different birds that visit the lake. His bestselling "Lighting Diagrams" eBook about lighting setups for studio portraits has achieved #1 for its category on Amazon. It was hard to quit and yes I failed a few times, but eventually I won the battle and quit. It has been a little over a year for me. This book is possibly one of the best guides to quitting. I did not know what all was in cigarettes and if I had not already quit, I think that chapter would make me want to. It is an expensive habit that affects everyone and everything around us. The tips in this book make total sense and the inspiration and support it offers is outstanding. Quit for your family, quit for your friends, quit for your body, quit for you. Don’t give up, you can do it and you will notice the difference in even just a day. Brian did an incredible job with putting this book together and it can be the best investment you may make. I give high fives to the ones who have quit and wishes of luck and support for those taking the steps to quitting. I strongly recommend this book, it is a must read.

It's hard to quit, and after quitting, the cravings never FULLY leave the neural pathways.Smoking is HORRIBLE for your health. Stale cigarette smoke in your clothes makes you smell like a derelict dirt-bag.It makes your face look puffy, bloated, pasty, wrinkly and old.I stopped after twenty-plus years worth of off/on quitting, and will not go back.I was 39 but looked about 50. I now look like I'm 32. My clothes and home don't reek, my voice sounds better, and I feel better.And I have more cash in my wallet.
