At first it seemed very silly, but I have to say that it kept me very entertained and for some parts of the book I was laughing out loud. The novel is book 5 of The Love Bird Series. I haven't read any of the others in the series but I found that you don't need to read them in order. This book could be a stand alone. It features a pair of avid bird lovers, who are middle age meet in a funny circumstance and fall in love. I found the plot very entertaining and enjoyable. I also thought it was a very good palate cleanser, because the novel I read before was rather wordy and long. This one was light, funny and enjoyable.

I didn't think that I would like it at first but as I read I really did like the characters. They are older and I thought that was a good kind of different. Percy Radcliff is a bit clumsy but he loves birds and bird watching. He has about given up on finding a lady who shares his love of birds. Then along comes Georgiana Ollerton who literally falls almost in his lap, when she falls out of a tree. They are a perfect match. Sadly Percy has an in-law who has decided that she wants him so there are some tense moments there but all finally works out. This is part of a series but can be a stand alone. A real enjoyable read.

FUN GREAT ONE SITTING READ By Rhonda K I enjoy reading Ruth J Hartman books as they allow a short escape into an adventure and seemingly join the characters. His Lady Peregrine is book five in the Love Bird Series.The hero simply adores birds, which his family thinks is very weird, therefore they thing he has gone absolutely mad. All Percy Radcliff wants is to find someone to share his passion about birds with. He meets a widow at the Bird Sanctuary and thinks maybe his time has arrived. Georgiana shares his passion for birds and becomes interested in Percy.But, Percy is once again tripping over himself as another lady thinks he is her long lost husband. So how in the world is he supposed to romance Georgiana as he wishes to when the other lady thinks he is already taken? He has his hands full, so to speak, trying to romance one lady while he desperately tries to escape another lady.The story captures your attention from the beginning and holds through to the end of the book. It is a fun, pick me up action humorous read. The hero and heroine is a little older in this book than other romances, but that does not detract from the story.I highly recommend this author and this series to anyone who enjoys reading fun filled romance.
