This is a great self help book for anyone who would like some easy and practical suggestions for maintaining a strong and loving relationship with your spouse or significant other. Even if you don't feel that you need to "fix" anything in your relationship...Just creating a few of these new habits will help even the happiest couples. I like the Pizza reference...and she's right!.....the best foreplay for me is when my husband washes the dishes!! Ha! Very easy read and all couples will benefit from the great advice.

Brilliant read packed with advice and resources for couples By DL Martin Not sure why anyone would give a bad review to this book, it is full of sound advice that will strengthen and keep alive any marriage. I particularly liked the fact that there were so many practical tips and links to other edifying resources throughout the whole book. For me, Love That Lasts - 7 Essential Habits was essential reading - totally recommended. I related to so much in the book, and it woke me up to some habits I need to change in my own relationship with the love of my life! Great book all round.

We enjoy reading them and often agree with the advice given to "better" our marriage. We have been married for 14 years and have five kids. At times we laugh when reading the books because our marriage is not at risk. We just like reading. We actually already do many of the things suggested by the author. This book is an easy and quick read.

By LUCAS40 An unusual point of view regarding possessions, but very practical advice about how to whittle down your clutter. This was an easy to read book, although there were moments I felt as if it took too long to get to the point, which for me, was the practical application of what Jeremy Baker was trying to teach. The premise of the book is to teach people through various methods who to declutter their spaces. Whether it's work, home or wherever, Marie has a thought about ways to declutter and then organize your space.Read the whole book in one sitting!

There were a few times when you though that something suspenseful would happen but it never did. When the orphanage caught on fire you thought that it could be arson and that someone is out to get the hero of the story, but no it was just faulty wiring. You get drama from an ex-girlfriend, but that is only for a very small bit of the story. There were many times when I felt like the story was building up to something only to find it come crashing down. Julia, the heroine of the story, is constantly mad at the hero, Adrian and seems to always be yelling at him. Yet he was still attracted to her. This books setting is in Africa and I feel the author did a good job describing the scenery, but to me the characters came out a little flat. I did not enjoy this book.

There were only a few mentions about the coast, the farm, and a couple of local food, but I guess this was not deemed very important and the author instead chose to highlight the HIV-positive orphans who were the common advocacy by the leading man and lady. If awareness for the orphans is the goal here, I will agree that it was achieved to a certain degree.Good story, but formulaic...a woman starting anew; unpleasant first meeting with a man who'll turn out to be her boss; an ex-girlfriend and an ex-boyfriend; etc, etc.I've read a lot of formulaic stories before for which I gave high ratings. Of course, the story matters in a major way, but the writing style plays a very important role as well; and that is where I think the author can improve on. It felt like reading a book for a grade schooler, only this one has romantic sex scenes.

Some of her ideas I'd come to on my own in my own way over the years, but I was seriously in need of some extra motivation to make additional changes. Inspiration struck multiple times while reading Chapman's suggestions. Her experiences and tone are very down-to-earth and relatable.Chapman does not go into depth addressing every possible angle nor does she provide pages of scientific evidence supporting her ideas. If you are looking for that kind of self-improvement book, you will want to look elsewhere. However, what Chapman offers is a springboard for change for women who are feeling stuck in a perpetual rut of feeling like a failure and trapped by "chasing perfection," as she puts it.A quick but powerful read!

What a beautiful look into Jenn's life and how intimately cancer afflicted not just her but her relationships. I laughed. I cried. I finished the book in 2 days. I’ve always been that awkward person when a friend is going through a rough patch - never knew what to do to help and usually doing the wrong thing. This book changes all that. With love, compassion and humor, Jenn McRobbie makes it OK to feel awkward and confused, and then guides you step-by-step through all of the things you can do to help a loved one is in crisis. I can’t recommend this book enough, and I’m even going to bring it to my book club for discussion, because it’s a topic that really needs to be shared!

Jennifer McRobbie gives honest and in-depth account of maintaining a friendship with friends in crisis and how to support them and yourself. I wish I had a resource like this on my cancer journey. In particular , her recommendations on helping your friends navigate social media and using it (or not using it) as a source of support during a health crisis, like a cancer diagnosis, are spot-on. Here's my breakdown:The pros:* The epilogue for this read was off the charts perfection* It was fast paced* Fairly priced and well worth its current listing price of .99* It had a hint of mystery involved which I enjoyedThe cons:* I wanted to know more about the heroes desire for the heroine in the beginning - it was obvious he wanted her but I never really got a grasp as to what it was about her, etc.* It was a bit cliché - a pretty typical shifter read* I never really fell in love with the heroine - she was 21 years(I believe) but seemed younger and I really didn’t like how "protective" her father and brothers were of her - it was just a bit much and didn’t seem plausibleOverall, I enjoyed this book. If you are looking for a quick paranormal read that flows well and has a HEA this one will definitely do the trick. I'll read future books in this series.

I sorta felt bad for her because of how her whole life she had an overprotective family. There were times it was needed but not all the time. Then Carver comes along and is always around ruining her time to go dancing or whatever. He's a alpha and she immediately dislikes him because he honestly is as underhanded as her family. Its takes him a long time to get it. He was an ass and did apologize sometimes. Its no wonder she kept so much from everyone because honestly that was her only freedom. What sorta irked me is he refused to get with her before the marriage fiasco. She was 100% in her faculties but its like he wanted the guarantee she would not run off later. Then later after she is off her butt drunk and he agrees to marry her then? How does he not see that as taking advantage of the situation? Its a pathetic way of assurance to have her for keeps. Kinda weak but understandable because he was desperate. They had ups and downs and trust issues...and spankings. Ha. Carver screwed up a lot and apologized each and every time even Virginia when she screwed up. They were perfect for each other and Carver really was sweet. He's just alpha and....Alpha's Wont Be Denied! Heh...I made a funny!

Georgette has a way with words. all you have to do is read a few lines and your hooked. this is the 6th book in the series. they do not need to be read in order, but I suggest you do as their is a bigger story going on in the background. This story was awesome, and I am having a hard time reviewing this without spoiling the ending. I loved the character Virginia Battle, she is a strong woman and a healer with eminences power. She wants to help save the world. but she has to keep part of her life secret. And hope when Carver finds out he can accept her for who she is. the ending of this book brought tears of joy to my eyes. and the epilogue made me lagh with what carver made Virgina do. I will say no more about the story, but if you have not read the other books get them. They were all awesome books.I hope you enjoy this book as Much as I did.If you do like this book, please consider leaving a review.The Authors really like it when you do, they value your opinions too.
