A Mate's Submission is the fourth book in the Ozark Mountain Shifters Series by P. Jameson and it totally rocks! I have followed this series from the very beginning. I have read each book and have loved them all but I must say, I was most looking forward to this one, Avan's story and it was definitely worth the wait! Jameson knocked it out of the park - again! The story is exciting, thrilling, action packed, riveting, original, well developed, romantic, arousing and sensual. Oh, and did I say hot? Oh yeah, it's hot! The dialogue is smart, sassy, well written and flows effortlessly. The characters are fascinating, captivating, engaging, endearing and sexy as sin. Jameson has expertly used her talent and skill to combine these elements into a wonderfully entertaining and exceptionally satisfying paranormal story full of adventure, suspense, fantasy and romance. It is so rare to see a female alpha - not just an alpha female but an actual female alpha wolf shifter. What's the difference you ask? Well, normally an alpha female is just a very strong female who is mated to the alpha but a female alpha is the one, the only, head honcho of the pack, and she has fought and clawed her way to the top, the hard way - by defeating the males. WOWZA! Talk about a strong woman! Avan is such a woman. She has renounced Cael, her intended and is now alpha of the Ozarka Pack but she must fight to keep it. She's had to endure countless suffering and knows she must now walk her path alone. She will never submit to the will of another male. She has accepted the fact that there will never be a mate for her. Or will there? Lexar is the first guard and best friend to Cael of Ravendale Pack. He hasn't felt an attraction for any female in 10 years, not since his intended denied him - until now. He feels an inexplicable pull to the female alpha of Ozarka, Avan, but it can never be. They are not each other's intended and besides, she's Ozarka and he's Ravendale. They're supposed to be enemies - aren't they? Nope, not possible - never going to happen! Of is it? No spoilers here! I guess you'll just have to read the book and find out but I will say this.......Beautiful strong female alpha wolf-check! Sexy alpha male wolf-check! Danger, drama and suspense-check! Sweet romance, heated attraction, hot chemistry, a perfect measure of angst and a healthy dose of beautiful sex-you betcha! Hubba! Hubba! I love it! And if that's not enough for you, we also get to see some of our other favorite characters from the series along with some new ones. I can hardly wait to see whose story is next! Maybe Avan's sister??? We can only hope! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

This can stand alone, but is better if you know the previous events and characters. Avan is a female alpha. Her life has always been about being in control. Lexar is Cael's guard and seeks out Avan to see how the challenges are going for her title. He finds her badly hurt and needing help. Lexar is an awesome wolf, sexy dom type, and very much interested in Avan. They fight for each others control, and he is such a wonderful character. Wow ! Deep characters, interesting pack dynamics, and super hot sexiness make this story great ! High emotions, feeling people, strong wills and twists and turns are all here. ENJOY !!

This is that series.With the death of Jax and the threat of war behind the two packs, Avan has taken on the role of Alpha of the Ozarka Pack, with all that entails. She has made it through round after round of challenges when she goes radio silent. Concerned, Cael, her intended but rejected mate, sends his guardian and best friend Lexar to look in on her and assist as needed to help stabilize her traumatized pack. Lexar understands the non relationship between Cael and Avan because his intended mate rejected him ten years earlier, before running to Hawaii to put distance between them. And for the first time in ten years he is attracted to a female, an Alpha female, one with rules, and lots of attitude. An Alpha who refuses to submit to another alpha. But Lexar believes in Avan and that they can make it work. All it will take is mutual submission, work, and a whole lot of trust. But first she will have to accept help to heal, because the last challenge left her at death's door.
