I was drawn in very quickly by the characters and the locale. The author has a good way of describing the sensory magic of the desert. The shifter culture in this world is full of the typical inter-species politics and intra-pack difficulties you might expect, and I look forward to reading more from the side characters that were introduced here.The Hero of Desert Moon, Ty, really made me want to pinch his head several times. He is very Alpha, but he also carries a lot of burdens he doesn't have to deal with alone, he just thinks he does. He also thinks he has missed his chance with his forever mate, so that tends to disgruntle him and distract him from recognizing that mate when she returns, so that he resists despite his attraction. The heroine, Lana, is actually in similar circumstances, since she is also seeking an elusive scent she caught when she was a young woman, but she is a little quicker on the uptake and more willing to be brave with her body and emotions. One of my favorite scenes (spoiler) is when they sit together in wolf form, howling in harmony. Even after that connection, they still have a way to go.The story flows well and there are a few crises that keep the tension going even when you think things have settled. I enjoyed the read, and anticipate Ty's brother's story in the next book of the series. I love to read series novels that each have a completed story without cliffhangers and a HEA rather than a HFN. I was offered a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Lucky me!

This is the first time I have read any of her books. I recieved an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.I absolutely loved the book and the way Anna Lowe writes in such detail that makes you feel your right there with them. The book is Hot, Steamy, action packed and will keep you wanting more.Ty Hawthorne who is the Alpha son and next in line to become the Alpha of the Twin Moon Ranch. While his father is away Ty is in charge. He was fearing of becoming his father's son not wanting to find love and settling down after 12 years before he had gotten the scent of his destined mate that he never met and that was the women he went searching for and never found.Lana Dixon, The daughter of the an enemie of the Ty's pack. Hadnt been back to Twin Moon Ranch in 12 years till now. She goes with her grandma to visit an old friend bring her back the Ranch.Ty and Lana from the start knew deep inside the minute they met that there were something between them. As Ty struggles about having or not having Lena as a mate. Not wanting to repeat his fathers way. Lena who wants nothing more than being mate Ty's mate and fight beside him.It's a must read book and series.. I can't wait to read the next book.. Your going to love it just as much as I have..

A man like that needed a lot of fixing By Daria “,,,A man like that needed a lot of fixing ~ and hell, she was no mechanic.”Old feuds...sins of a father...Alpha and pack politics are no match for fate. A magic that just cant be beat. Welcome to Ty and Lana’s world courtesy of Anna Lowe. Desert Moon the start of a new series about shifters . The story line is easy to follow and its about a decent length not too short not too long. The writer gave just enough detail to be interesting but not bog you down. For me I read it in one sitting, wishing I had the second one.The characters will come easy to you, Lana is back home in the desert only for a visit. A female shifter that is not afraid of standing up for herself, but also knows when to let things just go. Lana is smart and has a good head on her shoulders. Ty the up and coming alpha that is all about duty before desire. He also carries with him a smidgen of fear as far as women are concerned....more so as it has to do with mating. Both Lana and Ty’s human-self will battle wills with there animals. An a wee bit of jealousy rears its ugly head, as well as a couple of dangerous situations.I loved the 7-1 scene and how it was written, all I’ll say. (smiles) A few hot scenes worthy of fanning ones face. A new to me author and I am glad for the opportunity to read her work, I loved the story and can’t wait to read the next in the series. Enjoy
