Also, the characters would have benefited from more depth. The story line seemed to move quickly so there wasn't a lot of time given to building up the suspense or to identify the intensity behind the main characters.

Dominic and Sophia said the stupidest things to each other during their sex scenes. And it was constant. AND then they thanked each other? Well, she thanked him twice. Really? As interesting as this book is I can’t see myself moving forward with the other books. If this author wrote such nonsense in this book she’s done it in the rest, too.And then I ran across this: “he swept her up in his arms. She was short, but far from light.” Again, Really? A short overweight chick catching the eye of a gorgeous Adonis? Not. Going. To. Happen! And I don’t know why authors want to write such BS. If you’re going to make her too plain, too plump, too whatever, don’t make him god-like. Geez!It was cool that Sophia could become invisible but that's about all the story had going for it. Dominic, for all his bravery and strength, was kinda love-sick from the beginning. And I don't like love-sick from anyone.There wasn’t a bit of sexual tension. No wanting, no desire, no need, no nothing. Just 2 sex scenes in the book. Makes for boring sex no matter how many scenes there are. No sexual tension = lousy sex. IMO.I can see why after this book the reviews got less and less, until there was only 1 review for the last 3 books.

We THINK we have the situation under control until denial no longer works for us, but that realization puts us on the road to healing.Thanks for the happy ending.
