He makes disparaging remarks that shatter her and then asks himself what should he do to make her happier? Duh.He wastes time while they're trapped alone. He wasted 6 months after finding her and knowing she was his mate. Definitely not really hooked on her or in love with her. He resisted and didn't want her for no apparent reason. What a winner-not!I did not like this book and I don't recommend it. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't romantic. Basically he dated other more beautiful women after meeting her and held off being intimate with her as long as possible;then that act seemed to be all about him. That was what their relationship boiled down to. Him bedding her finally at the very end. Galling.

My big problem was that he has been ignoring her for 6 months, has dated "model types" constantly during that 6 months, hurts her feelings several times before they do the deed and he doesn't even apologize?!? She also gets no explanation about why he's ignored her or treated her the way he has, and she never asks. That's not "Alpha Male" that's just him being an ass. The story itself wasn't bad, but the guy is an inconsiderate jerk through most of it and the woman ends up being a doormat. That killed the romance of their story for me.

While he wasn't the most horrible h I've ever read about, I couldn't stand the fact that he knew she was his mate and dated other model type women for 6 months because he wasn't "ready." I wished she had found someone else who appreciated her. He should've had to worry about losing her. I seriously hope the sequels have better heroes.
