The author's description of our elderly in numerous situations touched me in ways I have never been able to vocalize. I was able to visualize her description and felt like I was with her - living every moment. Her ability to describe not only her experience with patients but also a glimpse into her life was unexpected and I felt 'true empathy'. This helped me relate and understand some of the feelings and depression I had experienced when I lost my mother.A must-read for all. This is one book that will I will read over and over.

It touched on subjects that are sometimes hard to talk about without making the reader feel embarrassed. The book leads the reader into thinking and or talking about how our society handles the elderly and how we feel about this. The book has nice concise chapters that flows easily to the next topic. This is a great read.
