About the Author I am a Holistic RN, Certified Holistic Health Coach, NYS Health & Physical Education Teacher, Fitness & Yoga Teacher, Herbalist, Reiki Master….. By David Bryant They (whoever they are) say that for every negative there’s a positive. I found myself in one of life’s tough spots and couldn’t face the demands of a mystery or anything that required following a plot. But I can’t sleep unless I’ve read. So I turned to “Early Morning Coffee and Donuts” for something to take me past the midnight hour.What a treat! And I don’t mean that the book gives license to eat endless sugar and jam (or jelly in American English) or take in unlimited amounts of coffee. If you want that, read a different book. If you want some guidance on a healthy lifestyle and a path to fulfillment, read this one. The great refreshing thing is that you won’t be preached at – as happens in so many offerings that promise a new way forward.Paula M. Youmell has balanced it just right and she makes a lot of sense. She’s not just a do-gooder, either. She’s got thirty years of nursing under her belt. Not the functional “sit up for your medicine” type of nursing. She’s turned her vocation into an understanding of the whole person and she’s giving the world the benefit of that.The book is easy to follow and goes further than giving advice – it helps you apply the advice and replace the automatic and complacent old ways that it’s so easy to adopt. By j. crabtree This book is presented page by page in bite sized pieces that I can easily digest on a daily or weekly basis. I read a passage each morning and it sets the tone for my day. Sometimes the concept of “wholistic healing” can be overwhelming. We ask ourselves, “how can I fit all of this in? The days aren’t long enough to do the stuff I have to do, let alone fit in the stuff I want and need to do to be healthy and feel good.” Inevitably, we end up doing the stuff on our “must do” list, and rarely get around to doing the stuff on our “want and need to do” list. This author breaks it down for us into bite sized pieces. She presents the concept of “feeding” ourselves in a whole new way…down to the cellular level... Feeding our physical body with good food and feeding our mind and soul with good thoughts and actions. This little gem is going to make the perfect Christmas present for just about every adult on my list!

I feel so blessed that you and I've been friends for over two decades now, if you can believe that!! Anyways, what a perfectly beautiful reference book, one to have on the kitchen counter, waiting for me to pick it up, here and there, throughout the week, when the notion takes me... It's like the Tao of everything:) Look and ye shall find kind of book, to nuture, encourage, remind, provide, guide, restore, revive, bless, and focus. I have to say, I really love the recipes portion of your book, and am LOVING that this is the first in your series. LOVE it that you named it the Whole Food Kitchen series! Kitchens, just doesn't get better than that.
