By Karen Wow, I loved Temptation Road and downloaded the series box set (books 1 - 4) immediately I finished reading the first book. What an interesting take on our religious beliefs, and I can't agree more, true love is the most important thing. We are all meant to be one with the universe, thought, love or God, whatever you want to call it. The unexpected twists and turns in the plot made it difficult to put my Kindle down and go to bed, and I was desperate to find out how each situation resolved itself. I highly recommend this series.

The author's usual elements are there - very hot H and very steamy moments. I found the route to the hea a bit of a roller coaster and had no idea how it was all going to come together. This is one of the sons of the ageing rock group The Velvet Lemons. All of the kids (9 from the 3 fathers) have issues because of the way they were brought up in a compound in LA. This H even had the fact that he wouldn't do love tattooed on his body. The h was a real sweetie and she really did take a chance on the H. They had history because she knew him back when he dated her big sister in high school. I liked the plot device used in this one, I've read it a few times before but this author really worked it in well. I'm not giving it away, you'll have to read the book.As a matter of interest one of the other reviewers mentioned editing problems but the Kindle copy I downloaded today was fine

I was really looking forward to reading this book and I was not disappointed.Payne runs several successful junkyards, having just bought a new one. He is an adrenaline junkie, who was injured while driving a racecar. He is still recovering, so he needs someone to help him, enter Rose.Rose Dailey is an accountant who is trying to find her purpose in life. She is trying on all kinds of hats, trying to find something that fits. This is how she ends up being hired by Ren, his brother, to be Payne's personal assistant.Payne and Rose have known each other since high school. He dated her sister, was kind to her and protected her and Rose's young heart fell in love with Payne. She still has some residual feelings for him. Payne has a firm philosophy with women, he never gets close. Rose forces him to look past his hang-ups, which does not make him thankful.This is book number 4 in the Rock Royalty series and they keep getting better. Can't wait for the next one!

This book came out in April and I didn't discover this til now but I was so excited when I saw there was another story in this series that I grabbed it. It features Payne, the brother who was a race car driver and got injured very bady. His family trying to help him out while he gets better hires Rose, his former girlfriends younger sister who had a major crush on Payne when she was younger.I have loved every book in this series but this one was good but not great or excellent like the other ones were. Largely I think thats about the character of Payne. In the last 5% he only discovers he cares about Rose and I would much rather have seen him with Rose dating her and being jealous and discovering his feelings rather than them being apart for 95% of the book.It is a good edition with some great characters and I really enjoyed it, I just wanted some more romance and seeing more Rose and Payne together.

Patton This book is a great addition to the existing body of literature relating to Civil War history. Distinguished historian and author Al Hester has drawn on a wide variety of sources to paint a vivid portrait of a little-known era of American history. It is a story of desperate men, their Cause gone up, faced with brutal conditions in Northern prisons and how they chose to change sides in the war and fight on in the West as "Galvanized Yankees". The term was coined to describe former Confederates whose loyalty, it was supposed, was only as thick as the galvanization on a tin bucket. But this assumption proved wrong in most cases. These former Confederate soldiers were loyal and served honorably in the Federal armies, primarily in the Western Territories, in 1865.My great great grandfather, John Milton Whitmire, born in Jackson County, Georgia, is profiled in the book, which highlights men who were born in the counties around present-day Athens, Georgia. The book contains dozens of excellent photographs, illustrations and paintings. It is a collaboration between the Dr. Hester's Green Berry Press and the Athens Historical Society. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Hester for this fascinating account of the Galvanized Yankees. My gg grandfather would be proud!

Instead of giving you all of the great stories in the book, I'll just say that "Putting on Blue" is full of little known facts about Confederate soldiers who supported the Union army, late in the civil war, to escape the hardship of POW prison. If you appreciate civil war era reading, this book is a must!I first learned about Galvanized Yankees when I found the Confederate cemetery, Camp Chase, in Columbus, Ohio. Al Hester's book personalizes the lives of these Confederate/Galvanized soldiers, while providing documented events including battles and assignments. The book focuses on soldiers from Georgia and provides an in depth look into their lives before and after the war. I enjoy Al Hester’s writing style. He provides a great overview of the subject then seamlessly dives into the details and personal facts. There are great illustrations, spreadsheets and personal photos that complement the book very well. The book is highly footnoted and would be a great academic resource for a history class, family researcher, or the pedestrian historian, like me.

Spratling Dr. Hester’s book is a wonderful exploration of men that changed loyalties during the War Between the States. Through pictures and biographies, the men come alive in a sense, allowing the reader to humanize them and their decision. It enables the reader to in turn examine him or herself as to what decision they might make in the same situation. Common themes can be identified in these men that made this hard decision. The human spirit for survival comes forth. Great book to add to my library.

You start and dont want to stop because the mysteries keep getting better as you go. It's more than that however because she is pouring her heart and soul out to all. In one sense I feel like I'm invading her privacy but then again it's like reading a sexy woman's diary when she's not looking. So I read it all in one sitting before she came home.

About the Author Norm Supancheck was born in 1942 and grew up in Long Beach, California. He’s spent his life devoted to serving God and helping people. An ordained priest for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles since 1968, Father Norm’s current assignment is chaplain at Alemany High School in Mission Hill, California, a position he has held since 2002. Fr. Norm leads various marriage enrichment programs through the Catholic Church including Retrouvaille, Marriage Encounter, and Engaged Encounter. He works with many youth training programs and is actively involved in a variety of community service organizations. Fluent in Spanish, Fr. Norm celebrates Mass in Spanish up to five times a month on El Sembrador TV Station (ESNE), which is broadcast worldwide. He holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from St. John Seminary and a master’s degree in applied theology from Graduate Theological Union.Marcus Brotherton is a journalist and professional writer known internationally for his books and literary collaborations with high-profile public figures, humanitarians, inspirational leaders, and military personnel. This is a love story that begins with a young couple in love who make the decision not to get married. Father Norm shares in his book how their love continued throughout the remainder of their lives even though the love they shared was expressed differently than they had first imagined.If you ever wondered how a priest can understand the marital relationship, this book is for you. I highly recommend it.

I've known Father Norm for a few years and went on some of his retreats as a young adult. He is such an amazing man of faith, and encouragement. This book really shows you what real love is all about. Whether you know Father Norm or not, it is an honest and well written memoir that captures the reader early on. Father Norm does not shy away from sensitive events that were happening in the world, within the Church and of course, within himself. The book is an easy read and age appropriate for adults as well as teens.

I could go on and on about what I liked about this story and the characters in it, but I won't. I recommend that you read this book. I'm positive you will enjoy it too.

There was intrigue, mystery, deception, suspense, redemption, heartache, romance, and of course, a HEA.Trace and Taylor are on opposite sides..but then, opposites attract. They never let their difference keep them apart. Trace is a Cop on the reservation and Taylor is a reporter for the local television station. Taylor can smell a story is brewing right under her nose and she will stop at nothing to get the story to the top of the headlines. Taylor works with Trace and together they find that strange things are happening at the mine on the reservation. Taylor's sources keep turning up dead.The storyline was good, the dialogue between the characters flowed well and the descriptions to details were done nicely. Written as a multi pov.All in all, a good read.Would I recommend this book? YesWould I read more from this author? YesSassy Beta Reading & Review

By Gerianne Slavinsky/Southern Yankee Book Reviews I read the blurb for this and was not 100% convinced I would like it, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! There is just something so mysterious and sexy about the Navajos and this just added to my feelings. The paranormal part was perfectly paired in and did not seem forced and was just enough for me. Trace and Taylor are so perfectly matched even though they are complete opposites. The author makes their connection so real and believable that I felt myself being pulled in. The paranormal portion had me on the edge of my seat and picturing it as if I was watching a movie because the writing is that good! The Navajo legends and mystique are perfect platform for the paranormal. Looking forward to more heat, suspense, and yes even a little more paranormal from this author. Great job!

So, this review seems like it is IMPOSSIBLE to write without spoilers, but I'm going to try.Let's start with how happy I am that Ms. Bond released this book, I've been waiting since I read the series in 2012, and she did NOT disappoint. Congratulations to her for getting this out there. I felt like I'd waited so long, that there was no way it could live up to my expectations, but it did. There were numerous plot twists that I didn't expect in regards to her father's return, in her relationship with Wes, and with 'the men' in her life. As a disclaimer, I have been Team Jack since book 1, and that didn't change in this one. I laughed out loud on numerous occasions, and happily shook my head at Carlotta's antics. I adore that she sticks her nose right into criminal investigations. I loved the introduction of a mysterious side character (and who knows, maybe he's obsolete in future books, but I liked it nonetheless).And here's where my review will get vague. I was at about 80% of the book and was thinking about how joyously happy I was with how it was all turning out. I did NOT miss Peter throughout this book, he can stay on the sidelines for all I care. AND THEN, it was ALL RIPPED AWAY FROM ME. Yeah, Stephanie, if you're reading this right now, you know why I'm cyber yelling at you. And I say that with all the love and respect in the world. I actually yelled the F word at my Kindle. But, *heavy sigh* this is what I should expect when a series will be a few more books until the end. But I'm not happy about it, lol. And Yes, I'm still easily giving this book 5 stars because of how viscerally I felt the ending. It's the sign of good writing when you have a physical reaction to something you just read.I wish I could hug her for finally getting this book out to her readers, who have patiently (and sometimes not so patiently) waited for this next installment. It probably feels so wonderful for her to get this monkey off her back. BUT, she better make this up to us by whipping book 8 out in like 6 months. I, for one, will be chomping at the bit for the next one.

Had the ending figured out after the pregnancy was brought up. Don't even care anymore which man she may choose. I once read eight books were planned in the series and I'm hoping she keeps to that quickly and not drag the series along with too many same old books.

My head is still spinning from all the plot twists.******************SPOILER ALERT********************Grrrr just when Carlotta FINALLY admits her true feelings for Jack a monkey wrench gets thrown in! I literally started cursing out my kindle! And finally some background information on Hannah! I NEVER seen it coming! I truly missed every single character in this series and am so happy (grinning like a loon as I write this review) that they are back. And begrudgingly I will even admit that I missed Peter. I have always been team Jack but after rereading the series im starting to lean towards Coop. My only complaint is that I keep waiting g for Carlotta to tell off Tracey and it still has not happened. Please please I beg you, just once can Carlotta not be the better woman and let that flake have it?!?!

We don't find out anything about her but he is seen as her pet. He saves an innocent girl and takes her home but is not welcome. This is a prequel to the Nightkind series it's a quick look at Nevins life.

This actually is a story I was very eager to read as I really wanted to come to know Joaquin Obregon and his plight. His despair over the outcome of his life and realizations that his life must go forward much differently than he has once planned is a great journey as well as Mae's resolve for a better life. The Las Morenas series is a well written and insightful series into a culture we not often read about and I recommend it.

I love the series and I cannot wait for High County Spring!Sheriff Joaquin Obregon has been living in a sanatorium for the last year recovering from a wound that has cost him so much. A year later, there is nothing wrong with him to the point where he needs to still be taking up a bed in the sanatorium. However, he is determined to sit around and do nothing but sulk. Since he has pushed away everyone who cares for him, he is all alone.Nurse Mary Margaret McCallahan aka Mae has had a tough life growing up alone in the slums, that is why she is hard working and dedicated. It took a lot to get where she is at in her career. She truly cares for her patients but doesn’t like to let her emotion show. Dr. Robinson tells her he wants her to take Mr. Obregon on a rest cure for a week and when she gets back, they will discuss a possible position for her at the hospital in Los Angeles. It’s the job she has wanted for so long.Joaquin, Mae and the orderly Shiney set off to go camping a week of rest. However, when they wake in the morning Shiney has taken off with one of their horses, so Joaquin and Mae have to find their way back to the sanatorium by walking. Due to Joaquin’s injury, he has trouble walking for a long amount of time. In the few days it takes for them to walk back Mae lets her guard down and Joaquin starts to see Mae as something more than before. As they start becoming drawn to each other they share a kiss, but where will that lead? Will Joaquin be able to overcome everything that has happened to him or will he stay in the sanatorium for the rest of his life? Will Mae get her position or will she change her mind and stay with Joaquin?

He has a deep resentment for what his life has become know, and he can’t seem to find a way to break free. That is until a nurse who has never liked him decides to make his her mission and turn his life around.Mary Margaret McCallahan or Mae as she likes to be known as has spent a childhood in the slums of New York, so now being a well respected nurse at one of the most famous sanatorium in all of California should be ambition enough. But Mae she has even grander dreams and these dreams require her to leave California for Los Angeles. But before she leaves, she is determined she has to rouse one of the most handsome, arrogant sheriff out of his own sick bed and back into the real world.Joaquin can not even imagine leaving yet. But Mae is set and determined to go. These battle lines are well drawn out and only love can win for the both of them.a very sweet short book which was a quick read for me but an enjoyable one.I really liked Mae she has so much gumption which i was drawn to and i liked very much.3 Out Of 5 Hearts From Cariad Books
