She’s been sexy billionaire Sam Hunt’s right hand woman for six years, and up until now she’s been able to push thoughts of having him as anything other than a friend aside. When Sam’s flavor of the week pushes things too far, April finds herself out of a job and with mixed feelings for Sam.With Sam’s company about to go public, April taking a job with his father—his enemy—is a risky option. She discovers something that could bring Sam’s company to its knees, and she and Sam will need to work together to save all their hard work as well as their relationship.Teaching the Boss was a well written contemporary romance. It hooked me in early on and kept me reading late into the night. Sam starts off as a bit of a playboy, but ultimately it’s revealed that he mostly uses these women—mutually—for publicity. It’s easy to fall in love with him right along with April. I actually enjoyed that the book didn’t start at the beginning of their relationship. They’ve known each other for six years, so this wasn’t a case of instant love. Their relationship progressed at a good pace. For once it was nice to see the alpha male listening to the advice of the heroine and not always thinking he was the only one who could be right.The secondary characters were well incorporated into the story, never leaving me feeling like their scenes were filler. I even enjoyed them enough to want to read other books in the series about them.If you enjoy sexy billionaires and strong heroines, this book is a must read. I was not expecting such an an extremely violent, abusive plot as was depicted in click. Whilst these situations do occur in reality, when I purchase a work of fiction I want to escape some of the harshness of reality .

Killing Me Softly By Erani Kole I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.This book, previously having been three novellas, ruined me after I read this. It brought on so much drama and emotion that half the time I was crying if not laughing at the ridiculously embarrassing moments MJ had with Helios. Their story was intense because of the dark things both love interests experienced, but the near ending of this broke my heart to pieces. I think I also hated them for a bit before their Happily Ever After finally came.This is a recommended read for the hardcore romantics, but I warn you that it is one of Marian Tee's darkest stories. The writing is amazing at pulling you in and making you forget that you're reading a book rather than watching a mini show in your mind. The characters are humorous, the villains are beyond dastardly, and the heroine is a breath of fresh air, even in her darker moments.

This book makes me reconsider. I should have stopped reading after swish. After that thugs get weird, like the author just threw in plot points to keep the story moving and tied it all together later. I don't understand what the hell happened. This book is not for the faint of heart, and I don't mean in a fun carnal way, this book goes beyond the bounds of normal. What the characters do to "save" each other is horrible. It was awful to even contemplate some of the things that happen in burn and click. And if those events actually occurred I highly doubt MJ would ever leave the sanctity of a mental ward. I believe in the power of true love, but this is far beyond anything I would remotely call true love.

I wasn't going to read yet because it was a trilogy and I really hate cliffhangers, but this book was amazing and will be worth the wait for the next book.Savannah has been held captive for months. She just wants to go home. She is ready to give up and just die. Before that can happen she is rescued. But now she has to chose between being held captive again or going home and risk being kidnapped again. What will she choose?Her life may be in shambles, but she is actually learning to love again. She is making friends in the house she's staying at. She's not sure what's happening, but she's got a lot of big decisions to make about her life. She's still struggling with everything that happened to her and not knowing everything that's happening. But each day she's getting better. Will she find her peace? Or will she succumb to the pain of all her memories?I'm not going to lie this book ends on a cliffy, but it's one I'm okay with. It's a trilogy so I have to believe everything will be alright. This book is one of the best books I've read this year!! Definitely going to be sitting on pins and needles until I get book two and three.

And I am so thankful I found it. This book grabbed my attention from the very start. I loved savannah. She is so strong. Cole is tough but has a soft side to him when it comes to savannah. This being the first part of the series it started the series beautifully. A little hard to read at the start because of the nature of the situation but very well written. It captures your attention and breaks your heart. But then things get better and you are taken on this ride, unsure of what's going to happen but loving it. Loved all the twists and turns it took. I loved that little clues were dropped here and there as to what really happened. The author didn't give everything away fast and I think that's what made this so good. You continued to wonder and make guesses. It is a good thing this is only the first installment because what a cliffhanger this one ended on. It made me laugh and cry. Some parts were downright heartbreaking while others made you feel like you were floating on a cloud. I love savannah and Cole and I can't wait to read what happens next. Needless to say i would read it again and again.And I have to say that the author J.L. Drake is so nice. She responded to comments and was super sweet. It just makes me want to read the books even more.

I would have given it 4 stars, but in some parts the grammar issues made it hard to read. I will definitely read the following books. For those of you who don't like cliff-hangers stay away from this book it has a huge one. I loved Cole he was a perfect alpha male. I still have mixed feelings on Savi. In many was I liked her and in many I found her somewhat annoying. She seemed to have no survival instincts what so ever. I couldn't figure out why she would antagonize York knowing he was a little crazy, but by god she kept doing it. In fact at one point we figure out she is 28. She came of much younger 21 or 22 to me. As far as the secondary characters Mark, Keith I loved them. I would definitely recommend this book if you don't mind a cliff-hanger. This is also not a dark read so if your expecting that you might be disappointed.

An Intriguing Take on the Whole Atlantis Question--A Must Read By Kem Austin I've just finished reading Atlantis Pyramids Floods: Did Noah's Flood Destroy Atlantis and Damage the Pyramids? This nonfiction book is by Author Dennis Brooks. First, let me say I found the book eminently easy to read. It flows well, is nicely sectioned out for ease of reading, and progresses with its points in a methodical manner. Moreover, I learned much I wasn't aware of about the whole Atlantis question. The author, Mr. Dennis Brooks, provides much insight into the idea of a flood being involved and he links this well to the pyramids of Egypt, which was totally new information for me. And he does provide some intriguing evidence.For instance, as much as I've delved into and researched the whole subject of Atlantis, I didn't realize there was a salt line high on the Sphinx, just underneath the chin. And as we all know, such lines are usually the high-water marks of past floods. Mr. Brooks also provides information about the pyramids, as well, which acts to further corroborate his theory. So the book has much to offer the reader in this vein, of new and different information on the whole topic of Atlantis. For this alone, it's well worth the read.I did find some small problems with the book. First, I felt the book was rather short, and so wasn't in-depth enough in some cases, didn't delve deeply enough into some of those items mentioned, about which, I would have liked to have known more. Also, some of the sources cited to prove that Atlantis wasn't a myth, aren't so much actual bona fide sources proving the existence of Atlantis, but rather other people's attempts to prove the idea, as well, and so this sort of "proof" seems a bit circuitous to me at times.Also, some of the items didn't seem to coincide well for me. I believe the one premise, a comet may have caused the flooding, to be a valid theory, but I don't believe the comet could possibly have delivered enough water to raise sea levels so high as to flood all of Britain, etc., except for just a few mountaintops. Such a comet would have been so huge as to have been an extinction level event for just about every species on Earth. One ice mountain of water doesn't an ocean make. But this does not detract from the theory, just the details of exactly how it may have happened.Do I believe this book to be a worthwhile read? Yes, absolutely. I recommend you buy and read the book. It has much to say that is new. Did it convince me Atlantis might have been brought low by a flood, in particular, the one we think of as Noah's Flood? Yes, it did, although the exact cause of the flood, how it all happened, I was less convinced about. But as I've said, Author Dennis Brooks brings something new to the table. He's reawakened my interest in the whole topic of Atlantis. And whether I choose to believe his case in every tiny respect, is a moot point; he still delivers it well. I give this book four out of five stars only because it was a bit on the short side for me, and because just some (not all) of the sources cited seemed more conjecture than factual sources. But as to Mr. Brooks theory about the flooding of Atlantis--he's convinced me! And trust me; that takes some doing! Buy the book. You won't regret it.

Atlantis Pyramids Floods begins by providing an overview of the original location and history of Atlantis as related by ancient sources, while also proposing that an immense flood caused by comet fragments was most likely the cause of Atlantis' submerging into the ocean. What follows is a thorough walk-through of different locations of Atlantis supplemented by links to various maps and photographs, with different viewpoints and testimonies weaved into the text and serving as a balance point to all of the modern-day evidence presented. As someone who often likes to verify what I read, it was a pleasure to have the sources of what is being discussed linked to right in front of me for my own perusal, and I was very satisfied to find that the material provided (especially the maps and photos) enriched the text considerably. As a compliment to the harder facts and figures within the text, Brooks also artfully brings together sources from various time periods in order to give the reader a more comprehensive picture of Atlantis as it once was. Though much of the focus in the history segments is centered on Plato's famous recounting of the Atlantis story, included in its entirety midway through the book, Brooks also includes theories and testimonies from sources as diverse as the Oera Lindon book, Dr. Frank C. Hibben and Ignatius Donnelly, which enriches the historical aspect of the text considerably.

His book is very educational but written in a manner that would leave readers wanting to read more about his topics. I found this book to be informative and highly detailed. I love history and architecture. And Atlantis Pyramids Floods had it all. The book can be read by readers of all ages. The fascinating facts make it for a pleasant yet, exciting read. I wasn't disappointed when I read this stunning book. I learned a lot more from Dennis Brook's book than I have in all my years spent in a public school. He makes his topics sprout to life on every page. I would highly recommend picking up a copy of his book and begin reading as soon as possible. So much to learn and so many new adventures an places waiting at your finger tips. Overall, I rate the book a five out of five stars.

6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. it is not as good as it could have been By Amazon Customer Sooo am I the only one that was bothered about being 68% through the book and still reading about how the inside of the portal looked and felt? I think she spends to much time on unnecessary descriptions. And wtf!!!! Was up with that ending????? That's all I'm going to say. I'm disappointed. This series is actually the one that got me hooked on HKWs writing. But it just seems like everything that she has put out lately is just not the same as the books I fell in love with years ago. Even her editing is gone down. Maybe she has to much going on or maybe she's trying to finish to many books at one time. I don't know. Normal typos I can overlook and there's more than a few. They happen. But there is one sentence in there that is completely miscombobulated and it seriously took me a minute to figure out. I think after the last three disappointments she has put out its time for me to stop wasting my money. I wish she would just focus on one book and make it great. Or take some time off and deal with all her issues before throwing a book together just because its time. It just seems to me that maybe in the beginning she actually wrote because she loved to and it showed in her stories and now it seems she writes for other reason.

There are moments in this that are quite stunning and beautiful beyond words but on the other hand it is drawn out without much really happening and sometimes is almost confusing. I love getting to the end of a series so for that alone it was worth the wait and the read but there a distinctive lack of something in this compared to other books the author has written.Will it stop me buying anything she writes? Absolutely not because at the end of the day the quality of the writing is so captivating that all else fades.

She leaves you with a full book and no crazy cliff hangers, she leaves you wanting the next installment the following day! each book is a full book and expands on amazing characters that you can relate to, plot twists that bend and shift, leaving you wondering how it will end. The Chosen Soul series is an excellent read along with her "Kings" series and she has more that absolutely astound you with character depth. This trilogy is amazing and has brought an issue to light for me that until this book, had me thinking: "someone out there has to be feeling this way [one of the character's named Summer] feels." The main character, Raven, was a work in progress and I saw her character grow exponentially and Drake of Tanith the with wisdom many seek..........In this triology was innocence and growth - and wisdom for the ages.

Brilliant, funny, very insightful, entertaining and best of all a true CUBS fan! I love how El and Jags beautiful story spans out from being children and then discovering their true love! All of the other characters are well developed and loved how the author wove them throughout the story! This is a must read!

I don't know where to begin with this story.....Jag is all alpha male but lack of reading women and Ellen is a sweet and intelligent woman. Put these two together and their chemistry is crazy ever since they were kids. I love it....Great work Harper Bentley!!!!!

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Typical teen/YA angst By JCReadIt This is a coming of age story about how sometimes you have to grow apart in order to come together. I appreciated that El wasn't pathetically hung up on Jag to where he could walk all over her and she'd stay or make excuses for him. She was prepared to make a life without him, no matter how much the thought hurt. I also like that Jag truly cared about El and more often than not did right by her. Her pain, their pain, came more from lack of communication than anything he really did or didn't do. But he wasn't afraid to fight for her and didn't turn to other women to boost his ego when things weren't working out. As protagonists they were both strong in their own rights and co-dependently independent (that makes sense after reading the book, trust me). The secondary characters weren't featured as the "next installment". They stayed as the supporting cast throughout which was refreshing. I could see the antagonists coming a mile away though I didn't really understand Alessandra's obsession with Jag. It seemed contrived after a while so I stopped caring. Austin seemed to be created because there wasn't enough drama. Like he was written in after the book was finished to spice it up and instead he fell flat. Overall, I didn't get caught up or emotionally invested in these characters. The relationship they had as teens seemed more genuine to me than the relationship as adults. It was almost like after it turned physical the emotional aspect was less important.All in all True Love wasn't bad. The plot was pretty predictable and the characters could be annoying and angsty (as only teens and young adults can be). It got a bit boring in the middle. I think I skipped more of book 2 than I read but all in all it was well written and an ok way to pass an hour.

Gina is so inspiring and the book emulates her glowing personality. I had the pleasure of meeting Gina at her Designing Your Dream Conference that she hosted in Harvey Cedars, New Jersey. The conference was incredible, I met so many wonderful people there and I learned a lot about my dreams. After attending the conference, I started reading her book and everything started making sense. Her book is easy to understand and is very helpful. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. I'm crushing too! By eBook Addict I have been lost in the tsunami of stepbrother romances that are flooding the market at the moment. Which is kind of ironic, because Nicole Christie wrote one of the best in that genre, long before it was particularly popular. Her debut novel, "Falling for the Ghost of You", was a fantastic read - engaging, sexy and laugh-out-loud funny - and I was in love with her characters and writing. Then along came her follow-up novel and my admiration came to a screeching halt. I really didn't like "Slow Burn". In fact, I was probably its harshest critic, noting that I hoped Ms Christie would go away and regroup before writing her next novel.Well, she regrouped alright. She's probably still out there somewhere holding her middle finger up to my review of her previous novel, because this one is redemption in spades.I loved this story. I started it in the evening and was still reading at 1am - and I'm not a slow reader. At 300+ pages, this is one substantial novel that really delivers. It's witty, credible and home to a host of characters who are believable and (for the most part) very likeable. You don't just get a hot hero and feisty heroine in this tale, you get a very well-rounded, ensemble cast who really help to flesh out the story. Anything written about the celebrity lifestyle can risk being over-the-top and too incredible, but Ms Christie is either a brilliant researcher or more than a little familiar with the reality of being an A-Grade actor. And the sexual tension - oh, my... In keeping with this author's style to date, it takes a while to get to the real action and it's not especially graphic when it gets there, but the build-up along the way is very steady and very satisfying.While the introductory pages were slightly confusing - I couldn't quite work out who everyone was - it quickly became clear and I didn't want this one to end. I wanted to stay in Luke and Andi's world and keep crushing on the hero, too (I had a Hemsworth brother in mind, the whole time ;) ). Very well done, Ms Christie. I am eagerly awaiting your next one!

Extremely entertaining and amusing By RFzizz Take Tarryn Fisher's usual cold-hearted heroines but take away the underlying dark/depressed/tortured undertones and replace it with spunk and you get Andi. She is full of anger, hate possibly a little bit crazy and in need of therapy but she owned it. She was full of spunk and anything that came out of her mind and mouth were incredibly hilarious.This was so entertaining - not very realistic but then stories involving big Hollywood celebrities tend to lean on fairy-tale-ish as opposed to realism, right?My only complaints (albeit minor) were:1. I would have wanted a little more emotional vulnerability from Andi. Empathy (especially on the painful part of the plot) wasn't that strong given that my emotional connection to Andi wasn't so strong. She amused me but I didn't really strongly feel for her and this is because as she herself said "she has a pathologically thick skin"2. I would have wanted Luke's character to be more fleshed out. He had personality but she completely eclipsed him.

Nicole Christie 's books are such a great experience to read. I've read some comments on other books she had previously written. And I've seen some of the comments like her characters have verbal diarrhea, or its not age appropriate. And I whole heartily disagree. The verbal diarrhea is what makes you laugh out loud. Everyone has thoughts like the main character in her books. It is so hard to find books that can make you laugh hysterically out loud, make you swoon, and be heartfelt as well. The only problem with this author is I can't find a fan page or fb page to see when she is putting out new books. She is one of the authors I am always searching on my kindle just to see if she put a book out. I highly recommend this book to anybody who likes romantic comedies that actually make you laugh.

So he turns to the bottle to help deal with the hurt. So he is shocked when his assistant shows up after he has had a bit too much.Ivy gives off the impression of a sweet fragile woman but underneath everything she has some steel in her spine. She has been in love with Gabe for years but he has never seen her in that way. She decides that she is going to be m ore outgoing and confident to try and gain his attention.Gabe is seeing Ivy in a new light he likes seeing the fiery side of her personality and he is wondering why he never noticed before. Ivy however has inadvertently drawn the eye of a creepy stalker with a love of roses and poetry. This story develops nicely and had me unable to put it down.However I am not going to lie I was heartbroken toward the end I did not see that happening. Great Read and looking forward to more. I would love to know more about Kai.

Super sexy and passionate book!Gabe is still trying to mend his heart after his girlfriend left him for another guy. He drowns his sorrows in alcohol at a local bar every night and the bar owner is fed up with it. He calls his personal assistant in to take Gabe home. Ivy shows up and takes him home, but she has a secret she’s had a crush on Gabe for awhile now, so she’s more than happy to help Gabe however she can. She’s sick and tired of Gabe not noticing her, so she kicks it into high gear, he’s going to notice her if it’s the last thing she does.This book, yes was slightly predictable, but it was cute and had it’s moments of pure passion!! I was intrigued and entertained throughout the book.

After she rescues him from a night of drinking all night Ivy has decided that she will be not hide herself or her feelings anymore!!!I found myself falling in love with this story one word at a time. I absolutely loved the chemistry between these two. Gabe the protector and Ivy the woman he wants to save!!! This book just really pulled me in and with its nice twists and turns. It kept me wanting more and unwilling it put it down...I really hope the author plans to do more with this series because I really loved it!!!!
