How to take better care of yourself By Jonty This is an outstanding introduction to the benefits of the internal family systems (IFS) model and was a welcome addition to my understanding of the way I react and interact with people.Instead of drowning in jargon, the book is a conversational, very readable journey which helped me understand why certain emotions come to the surface. It's the kind of book in many ways that helps put things in place, helps you understand why you act and react as you do.Don't let slightly hippyish terms like "mindfulness" or "harmony" put you off; this is a very direct book that quickly gets you thinking about the ways to improve your own life and relationships. It also contains brief exercises that you can either work through in a journal or just think through.The thing I came away with most was that it gives you a starting point to take better care of yourself.

Miller I found this great gem of a book to be oh so helpful! I love how Beth has taken the theory of Internal Family Systems and broke it down into an easy to follow and understandable format. I felt so much better after even my first peruse through the little book. The second time of really sitting down and reading it was filled with so many "ah-ha's" I was astounded. What a relief to understand all of those various voices that go off in my head at times. It is such a pleasure to have so many concepts I've been a bit familiar with be pulled together in a friendly, easy to read, understandable, worthwhile read. Plus great graphics to boot! I highly recommend this gem of a little book to anyone who wants to find more calmness, compassion, confidence, and clarity in their life!

War and Peace By Kristin van Tilburg Most of us are all for ending the wars around the world and creating peace...but what about the wars we wage inside ourselves? Beth Rogerson's wonderful little book called Inner Harmony teaches us how to do this in a quick and easy read. She teaches us how to identify the parts within that are creating conflict, and she has great simple exercises that teach what to do about them. She shows how to cultivate calm, compassion, and curiosity within so that you can make peace, and love, not war, in your inner world.If you feel like an inner war is being waged, I highly recommend Inner Harmony as a way to cultivate a harmonious state within.
