Engaging historical biographies of the Southwest By Laura Saints & Scoundrels is a fun read full of short biographies on some of the Wild West's most entertaining characters. You may find yourself thinking as I did, "So that's who that road/trail is named after!". And I'm happy to report that the author included my favorite Arizona historical figure-- the famous camel driver, "Hi Jolly".

Larcena Pennington's story about surviving being kidnapped was amazing as was the detail behind the story of the Navajo Code Talkers. Really enjoyed the photos and the entertainment of reading it.

I couldn't wait to get my hands on it and I was even bold enough to let her know because I KNEW I would love his story. You know what? I was right. I freaking loved it.Pretty Pink Ribbons not only follows Laneys journey to reconnect with Levy but follows her battle to live. Laney is a strong, kind and giving heroine who is facing a tough battle. Her will to live and strength is amazing. After leaving 8 years ago and breaking Levi's heart, she is back to tell him she loves him while hoping to earn his forgiveness and love in return. Levi is a caring, sexy, strong man who is reluctant to give Laney a second chance even though he still loves her."All it takes is this one look—this one kiss—and I’m owned. Every piece of my broken soul belongs to this angel . . . I just pray to God that she can find a way to put it back together. Grayson did a phenomenal job with her debut novel, Where I Belong, but with this one, she managed to tug at my heart strings, drag me through the mud, and stomp on my feels. I've read plenty of books that have made me cry but this one, oh man, this one definitely takes the cake. It was emotionally beautiful… it was breathtakingly beautiful and it left me an utter mess.This book was personal for me, for I too had a loved one that battled this disease. It’s cruel and unfair what a woman must endure but at the end, we’re stronger for it! These ladies are survivors and true heroes in my book. In other cases, some lose the battle, but it doesn’t take away how courageous they were because they fought unit their dying breath *sniff*.Laney. I love this woman. She’s fierce, she’s brave, and she’s amazing! She’s a fighter! Even when she walked away from her true love all those years ago, she never gave up. She returned back home to fight for her love. To fight for her life! Her journey was amazing to witness. There wasn’t a moment I wasn’t crying with her.Levi. I loved him from book 1 and now being inside his mind has made me love him even more. When I heard she was working on her next endeavor I knew I had to get my hands on it. Lucky for me, I was given an ARC. I was hooked from the very start. The prologue pulled me right in and I read furiously until there was no story left.Pretty Pink Ribbons follows the story of Laney and Levi. If you read Where We Belong, then you've briefly met Levi. You do not have to have read that book for this one to make any kind of sense at all. It is told in a dual POV which works well here. It was more of an action-reaction style, so the same details weren't written over. After a long time away from home Laney had returned to make up for her biggest mistake and regret. But she is also in for the battle of her life. I absolutely loved Laney. Her grace in the face of all she was going through and her ability to put everyone before herself endeared her to me. She was selfless and giving even when she needed so much. Then there was Levi, determined not to let Laney back into his life or his heart. Too bad for him that it was inevitable. The way she broke him down, little by little was fun to witness. Their bucket list dates warmed my heart. I enjoyed seeing them being light and carefree especially in the face of the unknown. Levi is a truly good guy and would do anything for those he considers a friend. My heart broke for him as he had to watch Laney fight and not be able to do anything about it. He is a fixer and not being able to fix this for her just about did him in.The cast of secondary characters in this book was great. I enjoyed being able to briefly catch up with Tyson, Harley and Max (from Where We Belong). The introduction of Mia, Luke, Mason and Benny was great. They were all wonderfully giving and loving people. The way they rallied around Laney showed that your family isn't just blood. The scene with Benny, Luke and Levi in the bathroom gutted me as much as it lifted my spirits. I really enjoyed seeing the other side, the side of the loved ones who fight along side the person diagnosed with cancer. It isn't easy on anyone and often times they feel the need to be the strong ones.There isn't a person in this world whose life hasn't been touched by cancer is some way, shape or form. It is never an easy topic to read or discuss. That being said, K.L. Grayson handled it with the grace and care that it deserved. She gave me the ugly, scary and painful while allowing Laney to stay true to herself. This book was masterfully written. The depth of emotion that I felt while reading isn't something that happens often. I laughed, I cried, I held my breath and cried some more. Have your tissues ready. Pretty Pink Ribbons struck a cord deep within me and is a book that will stay with me for quite some time. Oh, and that epilogue, a perfect conclusion to the story, full circle.

Raw truth, personal life experiences that reminded me I am not alone and that there is light beyond the right now bad experiences and the many roads that life takes you. A real character builder towards be a Proverbs 31 woman. This book should be read by all women and young teens everywhere, I believe that each person will get their own personal message from it. I know I did. I thank Ms. Cummings for writing this. It is an inspirational piece and an easy read too.

Everything is explained very clearly and straight to the point. The author explores the root causes and the nature of the problems that lead to drug abuse in the first place.A good book and a must for any person trying to recover from drug addiction. This book tells you why drug addiction occurs, what you can do to stop it and how to stop urges. It provides actionable tips and in my opinion is great for any recovering drug addict.

I was only interested in one of the books, but the drug book turned out to be just as good as the first one. This are really tough to cure disorders, you have to keep that in mind. And the book clearly states that. For that reason I wouldn't trust a guide that wasn't professionally elaborated. And this was most certainly is. Thank you very mucho for such a great book!

Life has made him who he is, and he feels that he’s just too dull and boring for Bridie. I loved how gentle he was with her, how understanding about her grief and how he gives her time to be alone, while also just being around if she needs him. Their time away in the mountains was just lovely – as much for the wildlife as for their growing relationship.I liked Bridie too. She’s nice and fun, even if she is hurting deep inside. She sees Ethan for what he truly is too, and values him accordingly, even if she does get scared. I liked seeing young Finn again too and how Bridie interacted with her shy, newly-found nephew.There was a little bit towards the end that I thought could either have been handled better or been left out entirely, as it doesn’t really add anything to the plot the way that it unfolds. I had hopes for it, but they never materialized, making it seem pointless. But that small niggle aside I really enjoyed this and getting glimpses of the other Wildflower Ranch characters, particularly old match-making Henry. Opposites Attract By Ruby Reads Bridie, an Australian outback ranching girl, comes to Montana to spend time with her mother’s family she’s never met and to escape the sadness of her beloved father’s death. She thinks spending time alone, out in the mountains she finds in Montana, is just what she needs to get pass the grief of the loss of her father. Ethan Morgan is the cautious twin to his brother Cordell considered “wild”. They have recently lost their mother. He is asked by his father to keep an eye on Bridie, and act as a guide while she’s in the mountains. Ethan isn’t particularly happy about babysitting, since he came to Montana from his Colorado ranch to help his dad after his hip surgery. What becomes obvious pretty quickly is his father’s attempt to play match maker between the two. While both Bridie and Ethan reluctantly agree to make an initial camping trip to the mountains on horseback together, they soon find they like and respect each other. At first Ethan thinks that Bridie is totally wrong for him since she's a headstrong adventurer and impulsive while he is a planner who wants order. However, the more time they spend together he begins to see that they are not as different as he first thought and he finds her irresistible. As their relationship grows, Bridie comes to term with the grief that brought her to Montana, and both are concerned with what happens in the future and whether their feelings are significant enough to keep them together. The developing relationship is peppered with a danger from poachers lurking in the background which goes unrecognized until it’s almost too late late.What I liked: Good character development and good description of the setting in Montana. Ethan is the perfect hero, perceptive and humble with his imperfections.What I didn’t like: The heroine seemed to be adventurous to the point of stupidity. What woman wants to travel alone into mountains with unfamiliar terrain and the possibility of dangerous prey. Bottom line: I'd recommend to any reader who likes romances with ranch or western settings.Received an ARC from Tule Publishing via NetGalley for an honest review.
