It was an encouragement to start writing again (If you are already established to writing regularly like you might say brush your hair, the first book may not seem like a big help for you.) I always stopped writing because I would think I was too picky about what I wrote in or with (either digitally or physically). I did not think about keeping different journals around to write when ever where ever or that it is OK to be picky about what you write with or even where you write. She also explains what to do if you start getting stuck or need ideas to get you started. I then thought I would see what the actual prompt books where all about. Each book has 32 prompts in it. She gives you a good starting point and helps keep you focused to get through what ever subject you are journaling about. There is nothing saying that you can not have more than one journal subject going on at one time. (I want to try the one for weight loss and the decluttering, maybe a few others) It honestly depends on how much time you can squeeze into doing them. The more effort you put in the better your results will be. These are not fix all books, just help along the way to get you writing, keep you on track and keep you going. Also in the book she asks her readers to help her improve the Journaling series with any ideas or tip or even prompts that would be helpful.
