Hill & the Goddess By DaFortner A Lover’s Origin: Black Island is a novella telling the story of the first meeting and love story of Hilliam Tessano and Persephone James. This latest installment in the Ramsey/Tesano saga is a just a small morsel leading up to the grand finale of this series. In this installment, readers learn how Hill and Persephone’s paths cross and the instant attraction that flowed between them. Hill was living on the infamous Black Island working for his uncles unbeknownst to the crimes they were committing. Persephone is lured to the island in the hopes of rescuing the sister she never knew. Readers will also glimpse how evil Eva really was and the lengths she would go to for power. This background novella holds a wealth of information; readers will need as we prepare for the final installment.The storyline for Black Island was engaging and provided a wealth of information. Readers understand Hill’s need and why he has not seen his parents. It also shows how deeply he loves Persephone. To say he was smitten from the first meeting is an understatement. He does not want to pursue Persephone or Goddess as he calls her, but the attraction was strong. Persephone was just as intrigue with Hill, but she also wanted to form a relationship with her sister. Ms. Washington does a great job with character development and the story line. This is a page turner readers will not want to put down, and if readers were fans of Eva, after this book, their opinions will change. She is every bit like her father. Overall this was an enjoyable read. Will hate to see this series end.

By Miller I have been waiting like a junky for Hilliam & Persephone's story and right now I am yearning for A Lover's Return's release ASAP. You can't help but fall in love with the way Hill & Sef love each other. As we all know from the other books, Hill is a tough and ruthless man who doesn't trust anyone yet he's so soft and gentle when it comes to Sef. They will do ANYTHING for each other. I love the way Hill is so protective of Sef. As always with Ms. Washington a captivating plot and story line, I couldn't put the book down. There are a lot of answers about Hill's past giving us a deeper understanding of him and how he thinks. I cannot wait for Hill to be showered with the unconditional love that he deserves from Sef and their precious girls. AlTonya I need A Lover's Return STAT!

As in previous books we’ve had the pleasure of seeing Hill & Persephone pop up at different time throughout the Tesano / Ramsey books. Hill and Persephone take center stage and some of your questions will be answer and of course you will have more once you reach the end.As the only child who has been shelter while growing up and at the age of sixteen she convince her parent to let her spend some time with her cousin all the time planning her trip. Persephone received a mysterious package in the mail with directions to this island; imagine her surprise when she got there.There are a lot of twist and turn in this book, once Hill sees Persephone he knows she is the one but he also knows that she is young and off limited, but the attraction between can be denied and eventually they give into their passion. Ms. Washington did an outstanding job and always you get answers but once you get to the end you have more questions.Look out for A Lover’s Return that will be the last in the Ramsey/Tesano Saga where everything will come FULL CIRCLE FOR THIS FAMILY………………I highly recommend.SmoochesLouise
