The writers continue the stories of some of the people previously met in the first book and it is a joy to continue to see how they expand on them. Mystik Warrior was an absolute page turner and lots of fun to continue reading through the action packed pages. The love scenes were steamy and the plot was fun and interesting. I am looking forward to the rest of the series as the authors continue to build a believable world that is easy to lose yourself in. The next book is Deviant Warrior." ~Night Owl Reviews

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Elvis has left the... car?? By Snarky Mom Michelle Wow. There is so much packed into this book that I’m not even sure where to start. I was afraid as I got into it that it was going to mirror the first book, where Elsie couldn’t get past her dead husband, it seemed that Cailyn was going to spend the whole time trying to figure out if she could move past her fiance and explore the ties she felt to Jace. Then there was the issue of what happened to Jace when he was a prisoner to make him so dark and unwilling to acknowledge Cailyn as his Fated Mate. I will warn you now, however – if you are sensitive to scenes of troll sex, this is NOT the story for you! As you can figure out, there’s some humor in these stories, some smexiness and lots of paranormal twists and turns! The characters – and I mean CHARACTERS – from the first book are back again, and the layers of the Tehrex Realm and the battle therein continues to build and leaves this reader anxiously awaiting the next segment of the story!
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Enjoyable By megs I had a few issues with the H and h, but overall, I really enjoyed this book! I felt for Jace and his troubled past and resulting issues (though it seems a bit of a stretch that it took him 6 centuries to figure out how to solve his problem). Caitlyn was not as likable a character (for me, at least) and was way too "I dunno, John or Jace?" for my liking. That said, that conflict was a relatively small part of the book so didn't overly detract.The book is definitely worth the 2.99 price, and is a steal for those of us with kindle unlimited. I recommend this book (as well as the first in the series) to anyone who typically enjoys this genre. I am eagerly looking forward to book 3 (which I assume will be Mack and Kyran's story) and hope the author doesn't take too much time getting it to us!

The editing could stand improvement...mixed tense and words used improperly jar the reader out of the fantasy realm they are submerged in, leaving a sense of disgruntlement. Overall, however, the story is enjoyable and I will be looking for the next installment.
