Hood (Hoode?) all my life and seen all the movies and TV series too. Errol Flynn is still the best! But there has been this thought that maybe he did not exist and it was just some imagination from medieval writers and it got bigger and bigger over the years.Mark Olly is an historian and archaeologist and has come up with some really interesting facts in his book. I've long thought Robyn Hoode existed only in Sherwood Forest but Mark shows this is not so. He did operate in a lot of other places. Marian also features as do the politics of the day. This was a well researched book which eased any anxiety I had about Robyn Hoode not existing. This is worthwhile reading, particularly if you're a fan of the Hood (or Hoode).
