Now I could see exactly what the small package he'd handed me was, and my face immediately burst into absolute flames. I knew what the little object inside the plastic wrapper was. I just couldn't believe that I was meant to put it on. I also couldn't believe that I didn't even have a choice about the matter. I looked at the small plastic-wrapped object I held in my hand, the object Chase had given me. I looked at it, stared at it, but I just could not believe what it was. However, at the same time, I could believe it, because I knew damn well, what it was, and there was no denying it. Even in the dim light of evening, I could see through the clear plastic to the object inside the small package clearly, because of the dome light that had come on when Chase had opened his door. I could see just exactly what the object I held in my hand was. And this seeing, this knowing exactly what it was intended for, what it was intended to do, was making my face flame hotter than I'd ever felt it burn before in my life."I'm not sure wether it's the author or the editor that lets this run around happen all through the book but it's nerve racking for me. I didn't get to know who Rowan is because all she does is fret about her deceit over an over. She didn't really talk about herself otherwise or about the possible discussion she may have had with Chase and Grayson between their baby-making sessions. Most of the time they were "working". So how they fell in love with each other is beyond me. An not having a man take the time to actually make love to me just use toys on me while he stood there waiting till I was so aroused was lame, I felt like she really was just a breeder an cum dumpster. The ending really surprised me I truly didn't see that coming. I couldn't figure out how an why there was a fertile female auction. Was the town begin protected by the wolves? Are women just slaves regardless who they are born from? Where did the auction money go to? I'm clueless. Outside of the 3 main characters I did like the story. Hunter an Lily, Sky an Brady. The Village an the "Work" our Alphas do but I'm leery as to wether I'll read another book from Ms Rain or not. Alpha Island sounds interesting but if it's run around sentences I'm done.
20 of 20 people found the following review helpful. 1.5 stars By Smut Lover I skipped a HUGE chunk of this story,and this rating is based off what I actually read.Plot: FThat ending was horrible. Rowan hadn't told them at 85%., she had the perfect opportunity and STILL didn't tell them. And then everything is just magically solved, and she gets to take the easy way out. Then the whole choosing thing...and she just fell out of love so quickly. Horrible.Characters: DWe know virtually nothing about Grayson and Chase beyond sex, and not even that really. No development. I hate being in Rowan's head, and I want to throat punch her. She's annoying, and a judgemental bigot. She spends more time with Flora and Rose than Grayson and Chase. Nobody was likeable.Heat: DFor a menage, this not very spicy. The scenes were rushed and somewhat tame. The build-up was long and tedious, the follow through was lacking. A ton of mediocre scenes.

Should I tell the truth over and over again. Then when she first day out she's really pregnant, the one she wanted to be father (I thought she was going to have twins - fraternal) it was out of the blue. I actually skipped a lot because it was so redundant! Didn't like this it all. Glad I didn't buy it.
