Linda Landes is a transplanted New Yorker who now lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In her elementary school teaching career, she consoled many students who had been bullied and guided them toward understanding their own feelings and understanding how friends should treat each other. A self-professed nerd who has been bullied herself, Linda recognizes the need for self-acceptance while pursuing a happy and fulfilling life.

This Child's Manual for Handling Bullying Hits the Mark By Christy Kelly The book takes the child on a journey of self-discovery, asking them to explore their feelings, what they tell themselves, how they react to what others say, and how they actually feel about themselves. Two introductions, one for the child and one for the parents, explain how the book is meant to be used and re-used as needed. It a thoughtful and insightful book, in good sized print, and soft-bound for easy handling. Each chapter has lined pages in which the children can write the answers to thoughtful questions, and they are encouraged to take time to think carefully about their real feelings and not rush to finish. Author Linda Landes is a retired 5th grade teacher who was very much affected by the number of children in her classes who were bullied, most of them ill-prepared for the trauma bullying could entail. Her sensitive and effective manual prepares children for the bullying that takes many forms throughout our lives, assuring them that they are not to blame and how to stay true to themselves when bullying threatens their peace of mind.

This is a fabulous book to help those who are being bullied deal with it and gain self esteem and self confidence. I recommend the print version as the workbooks are invaluable
