About the Author By education, author John Terhune is an attorney. He attended University of South Florida for undergraduate school and then attended Florida State University College of Law earning his Juris Doctor degree. During his time at FSU College of Law John was on the elite Moot Court team and competed nationally against other top law schools in appellate and trial competitions. In his final year in law school John won the award in a national competition as the Top Trial Advocate, presented by the American Trial Lawyers Association. Upon graduation John immediately went to work as an Assistant State Attorney eventually heading up the felony division in a northern Florida jurisdiction. His record of winning 97% of over 200 jury trials while handling over 5,000 criminal cases generated a top rating as a trial lawyer. During this period John served as an adjunct instructor at multiple colleges and universities. In 1989 John shifted his passions to business. Since that focus shift John has coached entrepreneurs and corporate executives in 18 different countries. His riveting and passionate speeches have made him one of the world's most in demand speakers. He has spoken in front of more than 1 million aspiring business entrepreneurs. By bryceb444 This book deals with the challenges involved to succeed in communications with other people in all walks of life. The author points out that if we express ourselves and deal with people thoughtfully, empathetically, personally, and adding that extra finesse, we'll perhaps get ahead of most others.His book effectively describes some very useful tips and methodologies with solid examples. Interpersonal skills, truly listening, and really caring are valuable attributes to attain and never forget, he asserts.Worthwhile wisdom in a handy book- I liked it very much!

He suggests systematic and easily acquired actions and attitudes that enable one to enhance their ideas, their ideals, and then, themselves. And doesn't that apply universally? My favorite parts of the book were the anecdotes from Mr. Terhune's career and life that would illustrate the lesson at hand, and, the Attitude Pumps at the end of every chapter. A must read for all those who on their way UP!!!!!
